“Loved it so much, we left and came back again 2 days later!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2012

I visited this ranch a year ago and came back this year with my husband. We came over for Horsemanship week. I am an experienced rider but my husband had not ridden for 25 years ago. As usual the staff excelled themselves and make this whole vacation brilliant - good horses for both of us, great rides, a wonderful relaxing and comfy cabine, great food, great scenery, lovely guests and really relaxing. We stayed a week and had wonderful warm weather. We then proceeded with our holiday plans and went down to Santa Fe - stayed1 night and rang up Lost Valley to see if we could come back we missed them so much so then spent another 4 days on the ranch! This time we had snow and loved it even more. Put this ranch on your bucket list!

We are so grateful that you chose to return to the ranch this year. We do enjoy seeing familiar faces and love when you bring someone back with you. Thank you for changing your plans and deciding to come back after only being gone a couple of days. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the riding, relaxing, relationships and more. We can't wait to have you both back in 2013.

After vacationing at Lost Valley Ranch with my family in 1994, I made a vow to return some day. My 33 year old son and I finally came back during Cattle Week in late September, 2012. The wranglers and horses were outstanding and the riding was all I hoped it would be. To be able to ride in the mountains looking for beeves with some great folks from all over the U.S. and Europe was a thrill for a cowboy wanna-be like me. My son just loved the freedom he had on horseback. We both improved our riding skills thanks to the wranglers who were more than willing to give us advice. The food was fantastic, the accommodations more than comfortable, and the camaraderie unforgettable. Lost Valley really is a special place for anyone who loves horses, nature, and wonderful fellowship with interesting buckaroos from all over. A special thanks to those very competent and friendly folks who manage the ranch. God willing, Jason and I will return next year. We're working on our schedules now.

Room Tip: All of the cabins are quiet and comfortable.

Thank you for returning to your home in the Rocky Mountains after many years away. We desire an experience for our guests much like you described. From the food, to the riding, to the accommodations, to the relationships, we do hope that your experience was one that brought you back to 1994 and reminded you of all of the things that you loved then that are still available today. We are excited to see you both in 2013!

My wife visited the ranch several times as a child and worked 2 years on staff, so when my daughter was awarded a wish through the make-a-wish foundation after being successfully treated for leukemia she wanted to attend the ranch she had heard so much about. Lost Valley exceeded her and her siblings expectations. The staff was awesome. The horses were high quality. Entertainment and activities were great. The food and accommodations were top notch. My daughter cried the night before we left because she did not want to leave her horse, "Lil Bit". The fly fishing on the South Platt river in Cheeseman Canyon was just unbelievable scenery, and good fishing. Can't say enough about the ranch. The kids had a blast and had a high level of independence with the children's programs.

We sincerely value the privilege and opportunity we had to serve your family at our ranch this summer. It is an incredible honor to make a wish come true for a child that desires to find out what a dude ranch experience is all about. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our staff, horses, facilities, activities, programming and fishing. The independence that children gain from their experience in the children's program is something that we greatly value for them. We can't wait to have your family back in the near future. Thank you for choosing to spend your family vacation in our valley!

We just got back from our first trip. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was fantastic. The wranglers were patient and knowledgeable. The kid supervisors were kind and firm. I can't recommend this place enough.

I've been home a little over a month and still miss lost valley, the staff and guests daily. i was a guest of the ranch as a child and then again last year with my family, but this year could have been the best trip for me. i went by myself, but you are never really alone at lost valley. i returned the same week as i did as a kid with some of the same families and now their families. it's like we never missed a summer. being the baby of six kids i got lost in the crowd but never at lost valley. and this year i got to know more of the staff and the other guests than i had the year before. it truly was a wonderful week of great food, exciting rides, beauty and fellowship. i can't say enough about what a great feeling i have when i remember my time at lost valley. i am planning my trip back for next summer and the summers following.

It was wonderful to hear about the experience of someone who comes to the ranch by themselves, however, leaves with more relationships than before. That is the type of community and culture that we hope to create amongst our guests and staff. We love having you here and are excited that you are returning in 2013. Keep counting down the days!

Another return trip to Lost Valley and all ages are ready to return! In fact, we've already reserved for next summer. This summer was just as much fun as the last. The accomodations, dining and staff remain top notch.
