Spent two days and two nights in a Tudor Rose chalet with several jaunts around this beautiful and interesting area of Colorado. Friends joined us and we all truly enjoyed the clean spacious rooms, the well-equipped kitchen, the lovely warm fireplace and the surrounding beauty seen from every window! You can't go wrong booking here...we can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our stay at one of the chalets. Everything you need is there. We had a quiet and relaxing visit. We were warmly greeted by our hosts who made us feel most welcome. The mountain scenery is spectacular with the Arkansas river as an extra bonus. The town of Salida is close by with stores and restaurants to choose from. Highly recommend!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Tudor Rose for two nights. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our stay. John and Terre are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious! The facilities are set on 37 beautiful acres (with lots of beautiful views), allowing for peace and quiet. But, they are still very close to town. The common areas are warm and comfortable. And our room, the Ponderosa Room, was spacious and comfortable. The only (small) negative was that from our room (in the basement) we could hear some upstairs activity starting fairly early in the morning. But, the noise was kept to a minimum and (I imagine) would not be an issue at all in the upstairs rooms. Overall, we are very happy with out time at Tudor Rose. It helped us recharge our batteries and we hope to return sometime in the near future.

My husband and I, along with our two golden retrievers, have made several visits to Tudor Rose.
We stay in one of the chalets, which is equipt with everything you need to simplify your vacation.
The accomodations are great, and Jon and Terre' are wonderful, friendly owners.
The scenery and surroundings are beautiful. On our last visit we did find some fun hiking trails.
We all look forward to our next visit to Tudor Rose in November!

Room Tip: Tudor Rose offers a Bed and Breakfast in the main house, or there are 5 chalets on the property. Som...

The Chalet was awesome!. The pictures do not do it justice. It had a great cabin feel and the kids loved the loft. One neat feature is that there were skylights that vents, so you can get a nice cross breeze during the day and there is a great fireplace with a blower when it is cold. We saw some elk walk by one morning and enjoyed the view of the snow capped mountains. It is very convenient to town and was only a 20 minute ride to Monarch Mountain ski resort where we went skiing for the first time. It is also very close to the rafting outfitters as well.

Our party of 2 couples, 1 child, and a dog enjoyed our stay in the chalet immensely. We learned of it through a Living Social deal, and are so glad we did. We'll more than likely return next ski season. The hosts were friendly and accommodating upon our booking and arrival. We were thrilled to find the Colorado-style decor as lovely in person as in the pictures, especially enjoying the large stone faced fireplace and beautiful vaulted ceiling. Everything was clean and in like-new condition. Though we didn't do more than basic breakfasts in the kitchen, it was well appointed. The beds and pillows were comfortable and truly appreciated after a day on the slopes of nearby Monarch Mountain. We had plenty of hot water for 5 showers, one after the next. Each dog-friendly chalet had a decent dirt and gravel dog area for taking care of business, as well as some trails to explore. Just watch out for the occasional cactus.

My second stay at the Tudor Rose B&B in Salida, Colorado was just as wonderful as the first! Great accommodations & great breakfast with warm & gracious hosts. Even though the B&B is on a scenic mountain top, on 30 plus acres, it is close to downtown Salida.
