My wife and I spent four days at Spruce Ridge Guest Cabin and were very pleased. It is on a 35 acre llama ranch situated with a view of wooded hills and nearby creek, with nothing else in sight except blue sky and a few wandering (but quiet) llamas. About a 15 minute drive from Salida (a fine community with good restaurants and great location for just about all "Rocky Mountain activities."), so close enough to be convenient but remote enough to feel isolated. The house was spacious and meticulously maintained. The only negative was absence of TV or any type of internet connection (not that it was a necessity but would have been nice). We liked it and would return.....

This was one of our best stays ever. The cabin is three miles down a not-so-traveled county road and has a very tranquil setting. Three decks overlook a babbling creek and aspens blowing gently in the breeze...& the resident llamas add their own unique character to the setting. The cabin is very comfortable with lots of homey amenities; it has a very open feel with nicely utilized space. At check-in, we were greeted with freshly baked cookies and lots of tips about the area....which is amazing! We stayed 3 nights, but certainly wished we could have stayed longer.
