“Wonderful experience for our 10th anniversary!”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

We vacationed to Colorado from Boston for our 10th wedding anniversary and also to make sure we really wanted to move out west as we had been planning. We camped in Buena Vista and considered riding there, but we really wanted a sunset ride which the other place didn't have so we chose to go with GMO instead - Great Decision!!! Another group left to ride just as we pulled up and they easily could have put us all together. Instead, without even knowing it was our anniversary, Sue decided to take us out separately. It was such a great experience! Unbelievable views in every direction, loved the aspen tree forest, and her dog Bailey made for some extra entertainment as she ran with us part of the ride and just ran all over the place all day (perfect dog's life!). We loved our horses, Farrah and Diesel... It was just an all around great time. We got a bit rained on but we didn't mind that either since we were prepared. I can't wait to go back in the fall to see the splendor of the yellow aspens (we're taking you up on that offer Sue!). If you're thinking about GMO don't hesitate - just book it!

“Yee-haw!”

Very nice lady giving horse back tours. 1 hour was $70 for 2 people. Super gorgeous scenery through the mountains. Nice extra for our honeymoon. We were the only guests on the tour.

“Wests visiting the west.”

Had a wonderful time. Gorgeous ride. Sue was very attentive to children, called them by name. Gave us a great safety talk and was sure to point out information about mountains as we rode.

“Fabulous outfit, from a wrangler's perspective”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

I highly recommend taking a trail ride at Granite Mountain Outfitters. The horses are in good shape, well taken care of, as are the guides! Sue is a lifetime dedicated horsewoman, and anyone who gets to meet her should consider themselves lucky. The ride is beautifully scenic, with incredible vistas, sagebrush, and Aspen groves - a perfect way to see this part of Colorado.

“Great experience”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

We did the 2.5-hour ride on a summer morning. I have to say this was the most beautiful ride I've been on. The views were spectacular. The horses were well-trained and we felt safe the whole time. We even had some excitement when the dog who went along on our ride chased a coyote! Compliments to our guide, Ann, who was informative and friendly, but didn't talk our ears off the whole time.
