We had a simple eggs, bacon, toast and coffee, but WOW. Great ingredients well-done and affordable. Very good service.

We stopped Ridgway for some supplies and asked the person at the store where to get breakfast and she recommended Kate's Place.

There was about 30 people waiting out front and we put our name in for a table for 2. We were seated outside within 20 minutes and had figured out what we wanted while we waited. We immediately put in our order for an omelette and huevos rancheros with 2 cups of coffee. The service was cordial but seems overwhelmed. As we waited 50+ minutes for our food, there was no refill of the coffee or water. We watched other tables get expedited service before us which annoyed us as we ordered before most of them.

The food was amazing and very good for how busy it was. We will hopefully come back at a time they are not that busy and have much better service.

We were driving from Telluride to Grand Junction and decided to stop in for breakfast at Kate's Place due to recommendation on Yelp. It was delightful! It is about a block off the main road, so you would not see it unless you knew to look for it. The cafe was knotty pine, clean and cheerful with local artists' cool paintings of aspens covering the walls. I ordered the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon and there were awesome! Probably the best tasting pancakes I have ever had and nice thick cut crispy bacon. My husband tried the bisquits and sausage gravy. He said they were very good as well. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and kept our coffee cups full. All of the meals we saw served looked amazing. Highly recommend this place if you are on the road to Telluride, Montrose or in the area. Certainly worth the trip!

We always make it a point to go have breakfast at Kate's place!!! The food and staff are wonderful, highly recommend breakfast or lunch.

We found this place by accident as we left Ouray on our way to Telluride. The corned beef hash is home made and the best I ever had. Shredded pieces of real corned beef mixed with garden vegetables and potatoes. I ordered my eggs over medium and they were perfect and incredibly fresh. Service was fantastic even with every seat filled and a waiting line outside.
