Nice, clean and quiet. Stayed in 28 ft Rv. Would definitely visit again. Easy access and had a nice river view.

Beautiful view and nice facilities to take a break from "dry" camping in the National Forests. We hiked, biked and kayaked.

Enjoyed Pa Co Chu Puk campground and the sites were great. We were right next to the river, a bit warm this time of year but so many fun things to do it really wasn't a problem. The visitor center was full of info and lots of free things to check out to keep the kids occupied. Good central location to visit lots of neat places

We have tent camped here five times over the years and none that we have a little camper we will come back at least once a year. The campsites are very nice, (some more so than others), they have electric, potable water, fire wood and ice for sale, clean bathrooms, shower facilities, laundry facility and lots of recreational activities. We kayak and the proximity of the lake has a huge appeal to us. For parents with children there is a nice swimming beach and a few playgrounds. The park is centrally located giving many opportunities for day trips and other activities. The little town of Ridgway is nice and Montrose is a short drive away. Reservations can only be made 6 months in advance and the prime spots (views of lake and mountains) go fast.

Ridgway State Park was a great place to stop in for the views, a wonderful hike, and great people. We stopped in for directions and loved it so much we went back the next day to hike and explore. The day pass was very reasonable ($7) and extended until noon the next day. We asked about a nice hike near water and were given a map and some personalized directions for a few different trails. We ended up taking Cookie Trail which, in addition to an awesome name, goes down at a very manageable rate to the water and then around to Dallas Creek day park. There were fantastic views the whole time outside and inside there were very friendly helpful people and clean facilities. Definitely worth a visit!
