AR and Hot Springs is a very nice place to stay. We rented two cabins # 10 and 15(we were 10 people), and as in the past all went very well, It is so nice that the hot springs are open 24 hr. for Cabin guests. the place is so layed back. Thanks for such a nice stay.

This is the coolest Hot Springs. Three different pools, three different temperatures. Lots of shade. We love this place!

The springs were really great. We just spent an afternoon there, and had a relaxing, lovely time.
Afterward, we were shown some of the accommodations and I think they are way-overpriced for what you get. The rooms were pretty dated and I think you could find much nicer options for less money.

Thank you for your review and for coming to enjoy our Hot Springs!

We wanted to respond to your statement regarding our accommodations. Our cabins are not modern, nor are they meant to be. So they will appear dated if your expectations or taste are for a modern look. We do have the "Loft", which is our 1 bedroom apartment, and it is available to those who seek a more contemporary accommodation. It offers what our cabins don't, TV with satellite & DVD, wi-fi, dishwasher, king bed, white walls.

In regard to value, we place value on the whole experience here. Our cabin rate includes everything on our 36 acre property: 4 hot springs pools, a stocked trout pond and fishing poles, a mile of trail, snowshoes for guest use, volleyball, campfire, ice skating, sledding, 1/2 mile of river-front, and the perfect atmosphere to unwind. The most common guest-book entry states that on our property it is like stepping back in time, where there are no phones ringing, no stress and the perfect opportunity to be present with family and friends.

We booked the converted wagon for two nights and it was very overpriced for what was essentially a camping experience. Each night in the wagon was $89.00 for basically a tent sized space. If you are over 5'9" and weigh more than 130 pounds, you will not fit in the wagon. In such a limited space there are 20 pillows and a wood burning stove that takes up more room than gives warmth. If the wagon were around $49 or $59 a night, I would say stay for a quaint and interesting experience, but no way is it worth the price that it is listed at. Bed was firm and comfortable and there is a 4 cup coffee maker in the wagon with Steaming bean coffee (no water though). The closest bathroom is at the springs (which is just down the sidewalk) and it is one shower and a separate toilet (also just one). The dressing room at the springs is tiny and has no vanity or anywhere to really get ready. There is an outlet close to a mirror. The "kitchen" in the lodge consists of a sink and a microwave (and all the cups are metal). The staff left the light on and the heater on for us since we were arriving late. They seemed nice and it is run with a laissez faire attitude, which can be good or bad depending on what kind guest you are. They do not change your towels or linens or pick up the room at all. Everything like tea, coffee, towels, and toiletries are in a storage closet on the porch of the lodge and are self serve. I spoke with some people staying in the cabins and they like their cabins very much. If you stay in the wagon, bring your own toiletries or get some out of the storage closet. The tea is Two Leaves and a Bud and the toiletries were all natural products with shampoo, lotion, and soap. bring your own blow dryer. The Springs were very nicely landscaped and the views are beautiful. There are three pools, but only one was really hot (around 102), while the others seemed around 90. There is no where in the wagon to hang a wet suit to dry.

We have been several times and each time I am reminded by the beauty that surrounds how special a place it is! Make reservations for a day or over night! The Hot Springs do not dissapoint! bring a picnic lunch, or snacks and enjoy a relaxing soak!
