We stopped here for one night and had earlier made our reservations for two beds in a non-smoking room. When we arrived, the non-smoking room that we requested was not available. However, the staff made sure we were comfortably settled in another room, and provided a rollaway bed, which made it just perfect for us. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Restaurants are within walking distance.

Stopped at this hotel on our cross country road trip. It's right off the Interstate and very close to a mall and a bunch of restaurants. The Hotel room was big and clean. The bathroom, shower and tub were clean, and the walls and carpet looked great too! The continental breakfast had a variety of choices (no hot food) and the dining area and food presentation was nice! The hotel staff (Tara) was helpful during check in. Overall it was a very good experience.

This would have been a perfect place except the Air Conditioning in Room 317 is funky. The hotel also permits pets which may turn off some people.

Room: 317. Spacious and clean. Looks bigger than a typical room for this

chain.

Bathroom: Big. This chain has bifold doors in the bathroom which I

don't really care for (no privacy). This particular location has a

lock on the door so no one can barge in.

Room Locks: Has deadbolt.

Airconditioning: Subpar. Wouldn't run continuously. Kept shutting

down. Cooled to about 72 degrees and then stopped on its own, even

with the thermostat set to 65. Sorry, but I like a cool room after

driving 500 miles.

Refrigerator: Not in our room.

Vending and Ice machines: Yes

Laundry: Yes. On the 3rd floor. $1.75 for wash. $1.25 for drying.

WIFI: Yes. No password. Worked and connected fast.

Fitness Center: Saw it. Looked fine.

Pool: I think so.

Jogging possibilities: Pretty good. There's an access road and plenty

of restaurant parking lots to run through.

Dogs: Yes, they're permitted. I saw several pretty dogs, but never

heard them in the hotel which is good.

Staff: Very friendly and attentive. Tara is very nice at the front

desk.

Breakfast: Good. 2 Waffle makers, cereal, etc. Well attended by a nice

lady whose name I didn't catch. Plenty of tables, most of them 2 seat

tables. TV on the wall in the front.

Complimentary Papers: USA today at the front desk.

Parking: Good.

Safety: Great. Looks like a safe place.

Brochures: Near the front desk.

My boyfriend and I were driving from Phoenix to Iowa City and stopped at this hotel with our two dogs for the night! I was pleasantly surprised to find how clean the hotel room was! The shower and tub were clean, the bathroom floor was spotless, and the walls and carpet looked great too! The continental breakfast had a variety of choices (no hot food) and the dining area and food presentation was nice! The hotel staff was helpful during check in and made check out super fast. Overall it was a very good experience. This hotel is a perfect stop to rest your head while passing through or staying for a short time. Also if you have pets staying in the room with you, there is PLENTY of areas with green grass for the pets to graze and go to the bathroom, just PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET so other pet owners can stay in a clean hotel with there pets too! :)

My boyfriend and I stopped in Amarillo TX last summer on the same road trip and stayed at a Comfort Inn. The hotel was dirty and the carpet felt damp, overall the room seemed stuffy at that Comfort Inn. I'm happy we changed our route to CO and stayed at La Quinta.

The room was actually OK, but the heater was so noisy that it kept us from sleeping well the whole night. Sleep quality is very important for a hotel.

I have stayed here about 5 times in the last 7 months for work. I always jump between this hotel and the Wingate. I feel like the La Quinta has amazing service and management! I always feel welcome when I stay here and receive a phone call after checking in to make sure things are fine. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you are satisfied. They even lent me one of the 3 flashlights they had for their staff the night of a blizzard when all power was knocked out in the city. The rooms are spacious and very clean. They include microfridges, coffee makers, hair dryers, etc. The beds are a little more comfortable than other budget hotels I have stayed at. My only reason for dropping this hotel to an "average" rating is because they could probably use some updating in the rooms. They are becoming a little outdated. This does no affect the cleanliness or anything else, just a personal judgement! The breakfast is decent. Both warm and cold items (bagels, cereal, danishes, etc). I also like the convenience of the location to the highway and many nearby restaurants.

No real problems, but room was overpriced for value received. Nothing outstanding, nothing very bad.

2 night with tax in room overlooking hwy: just over 300 dollars.
The room smelled so bad, every who entered said, "THIS ROOM STINKS!"
My 4 yr old said it every time he came over from his grandparents room across the hall. My in-laws wouldn't come over to our room because it smelled so bad, so all of us would congregate in their room. The breakfast room was extremely crowded. We went downstairs 3 times to make toast or waffles, but there was a line everytime, so we had fruit and coffee. I heard the waffles are delicious if you have the patience to wait in line to make them. LOL. I just did a check on line and there are several hotel in Pueblo that offer much lower prices for the same type of hotel with breakfast included as well. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Much too expensive for a very average hotel next to the highway. The pretty blonde cleaning woman who was responsible for cleaning the breakfast area was very polite and sweet. Keep her, she's he nicest member of your staff.
