My sister and I, both over 70, took a road trip (Sept. 2004) that included Pueblo, CO - a place we had lived in for five years as kids. I had not been back there since. It was a fabulous trip, and Pueblo was a most pleasant surprise! Lovely city, friendly people, great places to eat, incredible old houses to see, including one that we had lived in, which is now on a whole block of beautiful places preserved as historical architectural gems! We stayed three days, and our favorite breakfast haunt was The Daily Grind, on Union Street. We don't always want huge, over-stuffed, fried breakfasts, and appreciated the choice of bagels with cream cheese or peanut butter, excellent coffees, comfort, friendly service and newspapers to read! Their mocha frappe is EXCELLENT!
