Enjoy two hangars chock full of varying types of aircraft as well as exhibits that featured the history rather well and extensively. Also enjoy what they have housed outdoors. They had a special plane B-29 I believe out back and that garnered a $5 fee as the volunteer put it "just to look at it". We were led to it not knowing it was extra and then as we got closer were told that. I said "we're just looking not going inside" assuming that's what garnered the extra fee and that's when he said "just to look at it". We turned around and made our way back. The museum itself is well worth the $5 (instead of the usual $7) we paid that day. The gift shop is decent particularly for those enthusiasts of the aviation industry and history. It was well worth our time. We stayed approx. an hr. and found that sufficient. Others more interested in the details will spend longer here (perhaps 2-3 hrs.), soaking it in.

Took my 4th and 5th grade several years ago and we had a wonderful time learning all about the different aircraft displayed.

Their collection of maybe 40-50 on display, most notably a C-54, DC-3, Stearnum airplane that was used as a military trainer in the 1940s. There was a twin rotor medivac helicopter used in the Vietnam War era. We got to go inside to see how wounded soldiers were evacuated. There were also armored personnel carriers, Jeeps, WWII half tracks, military staff cars and more. Many displays geared for children. Extensive gift shop will appeal to any aviation or military enthusiast.

This was located on the Pueblo Airport property. Staff was volunteer docents who were pilots, former military men or aviation enthusiasts. Allow 1-2 hours depending on your interest level.

Visited here last year on my way back to Denver. Really enjoyed it, good collection of exhibits, also some quite rare ones from other forms of transport. Great selection of aircraft engines, also got a B-29 so worth a visit for that alone. Very nice staff, will visit again next time I am passing.

The museum focuses on B-24's but had many other planes and helicopters on display in their two hangars. They had a lot of information regarding the B-24's missions as well as other material (e.g., uniforms, propaganda, African-American pilots, and the space program). The day we visited, they were rearranging and setting up a Vietnam helicopter that is the only one of its model to return to America. Local history is also incorporated, which adds a unique touch to the stories told. Definitely worth it!
