this was a great stop for lunch and specials go to 3 pm. great service and atmosphere.

Our daughter chose to eat at Carinos as a celebration dinner after her ice skating competition. We had a group of 12 in our family (three were children) and had reservations for dinner at 6:00 on a Sunday night. The waiter (Ken) was very attentive and we had our drinks pretty quickly. The restaurant was not very busy yet and we put our orders in. We waited and waited. After we had been at the restaurant for an hour, we were finally served our soups and salads. As the waiter came to clear our salad plates, he told us that it would be a while yet before we would get our entrees. We informed his that it wasn't acceptable and that the children were quite hungry (it was about 7:20 at this point). He told us that he would make sure that the kids would get their meals and true to his word, they were served in about 10 minutes. We asked the waiter if he cooked the meals and he told us that he did. The other entrees were served after we had been there for an hour and forty-five minutes. The waiter apologized for the problems but there was never an apology from the manager or an offer of a discount for such a horrible experience. Ken deserves a raise for having to put up with such awful working conditions. Fortunately for him, we tipped normally because we recognized it wasn't his fault. I overheard another server telling a nearby table that someone had called in sick and someone else had not shown. Any manager that is worth anything would have been on top of the situation better and called in help and certainly apologized at the very least to the customers. I don't think we'll eat there the next time we are in Pueblo.
