Near Penrith this site was very convenient for an overnight stay. Clean facilities. Many residents.
Arrived just before closing after hunting around a bit. Swimming pool was very welcoming! The Lennox shopping centre just up the road is very good for a stock up.

Needed to be in the local area due to our daughter living here. Very accessible to Blue Mountains by train and car - Gt Western Highway has improved dramatically over the years, but still some road works to contend with, but overall a good drive! It is always very hot here - we had over 40degC but mainly in the 30degC+ zone. Ok if you have Air Con. Amenities have all that you need BUT the auto temperature shower set up is FAR TOO HOT! I like hot showers but this was scalding hot! To hear small children screaming while being showered by their mothers was not at all pleasant! THIS NEEDS TO BE ATTENDED TO - surely an OH&S issue!!! Summer needs to be about 10deg lower and even winter could be 5deg lower. There was a note pad for Comments in the Amenities, I wrote about the water temp nearly every day till I gave up. The Amenities cleanliness was dubious. Didn't smell clean & fresh (no air fresheners); the amenities got so steaming hot it was difficult to get dry, no extractor fans or windows open another OH&S issue!!! Some toilets looked like the hadn't been scrubbed in months even after cleaners had been thru! We were there for almost a full month.
The Caretaker Managers were very helpful and pleasant (thanks Rob & Donna).
I had an issue when walking from the Pool after a swim and stepped onto what is essentially the Camp Kitchen floor on my way to pathway back to our Caravan site and slid badly on the gloss painted floor - another OH&S issue. This 'pathway access' needs to be a rough finish not gloss. I injured my foot (drawing blood)which took weeks to heal and weeks of pain when wearing sandals/shoes. We didn't mind the trains nearby - just buy some earplugs, they work wonders - beats complaining!!
The pool was lovely and clean and well used in the extreme heat!!
No other Caravan Parks until Katoomba, so it's difficult not to go back there when spending time with our daughter and hubby, but will only stay a week over Christmas. Caravan Sites are divided by hedges which is good for privacy but sites not big enough to put Van, annex & car onto.
As Pensioners we did receive a Pensioner Discount but Peak Period is still too expensive for Pensioners. We don't utilize the same facilities in Caravan Parks as families do, yet we get charged the same rates - there needs to be a better/cheaper system for Pensioners. Just sayin'

Room Tip: Check out the Park Map before you select your room/site!!

If you like trains this is the caravan park for you. The freight trains run all night, and I mean all night!! If you like your sleep I would suggest you go elsewhere...................................

We stayed for 12 nights and enjoyed having easy access to the Nepean River Walk, 8kms of park and woodland trails with abundant wildlife. It is a 25 minute walk across the bridge to the centre of Penrith and the close proximity to Emu Plains Railway Station makes the Blue Mountains and Sydney very accessible. There are reasonably good pubs and restaurants tucked away in Emu Plains, and the Penrith Regional Gallery is well worth visiting. The holiday village's facilities were reasonably good and the rooms were clean, but the hot water was a bit unreliable.

A delighful stay located directly underneath large power lines and backing onto a water pumping station and railway track. So we had a potential cancer risk to contend with and an incessant humming noise. I slept in the front room and turned on the aircon to try and drown it out. Loud, it was loud! I thought the whole room was throbbing and I can sleep through a lot of noise. Cabins and amenities were average with plenty of signage reminding me that our bargain accommodation only comes with limited toiletries, linen and replacements were going to cost. The decrease volume button on the remote for the tv did not work and the microwave start button required the hulk to press it, but we managed. Rooms were clean and tidy, perhaps people trying to avoid the $25 surcharge. Suffice to say I am glad we only stayed one night, we will not be back. I should mention that we stayed in number 7 and the permanent residents were located further away from the pumping station. You may get lucky and not have the noise issues we suffered.

Nice quiet place, easy to find, very clean and comfortable. Great prices with pool, laundry etc. Wonderful views of the river. We had a very spacious cabin with a little kitchen area plus dining and lounge. Quite a lot of wild life around this area as well which was a nice surprise, waking to native bird song in the mornings. All in all a great place to stay.

Spent two nights with two friends while in Sydney for an event.
Cabin was clean and had all the basics. Only criticisms are the hot water didn't last very long and to gradually try improve soundproofing as the constant trains at night are quite loud.
But all up a hassle free stay.
