“A Jewel in the middle of nowhere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

Authentic Thai food in a most unusual location. If you are driving from Denver to Crested Butte do no miss this little fun spot at the turn off to HWY 50 on the drive. I have often seen this place but never stopped before. Lovely owner and staff are from Thailand. Just a diner but great Thai food at reasonable prices. I don't know about the american food but thai is great

“Authentic Thai at a good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

Very clean with really good authentic Thai and American food. I did not try one of their Burgers but what we had (Thai) was very good. Very attentive and helpful service with good food in a small quaint family style restaurant. Soft serve Ice cream as well.

“Drove to Poncha to avoid crowds”

Food was ok, not wonderful, ice cream for desert was a huge portion, and low prices overall. Owners were charming Thai immigrants.

“Excellent gem I would have never guessed!”

Great authentic food at this roadside cafe. The same owner has been making the food for at least 20 years possibly longer. The atmosphere is rough but worth tolerating. She's moved a few times so call. Don't trust google maps

“A great little surprise!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

Poncha Springs is very small and there are only 2 restaurants here. Both are Thai! We stopped at this one, the "Mini Cafe". It was very clean, spacious and friendly. We shared the fried dumplings, which has a great sweet/spicy sauce, for $ 6.95 and the Tom Yum, which is a Thai Soup with lots of fresh vegetables, Thai sauce and lots of chicken. A small bowl was $ 9.95. It was more than I could eat. It came with rice and hot tea. Both were authentic and great. I asked for the soup to be just a little spicy, and it was just right. More spice would have been too much for me. They have a variety of Thai dishes for $6.95 - $12.95 such as Pad Thai and Curries. They also serve American food like burgers, hot dogs and bar-b-que and also ice cream. The lunch and dinner menus are the same. It was a great little surprise!
