We had a very enjoyable stay at the farm. The accommodation was spotless and with excellent amenities. It was great that we could take our dog and we were made very welcome by Peter and Irene. Stunning surroundings.Delicious cream tea on arrival. We would certainly stay again in the future. Highly recommended.

This was the 4th visit and we have now stayed in all the cottages. New beds and new kitchen demonstrate a commitment to maintain high standards. Again I would emphasise the outstanding cleanliness and the variety of equipment. If you have never stayed here I recommend you try it and you will want to return to this stunning location where Peter and Irene are the perfect hosts.

Room Tip: Try visiting 4 times so you can chose your own favourite!

Just come back from the most enjoyable week at West Hollowcombe self catering cottages. We stayed in 'Jasper' which was a beautiful, cosy, yet spacious cottage. Our daughter took her horse and our dog came as well. We were all made very welcome. Everyone had a great time out exploring Exmoor National Park with the horse & dog in tow! Lots of lovely other places to visit as well in the surrounding area. Would definately return to West Hollowcombe cottages and would also recommend very highly to anyone else.
Thank you very much for a fantastic week Peter & Irene and hope to see you again in the near future.

Most beautiful and relaxing, peaceful place, extremely well equipped and comfortable, very friendly and helpful couple Peter and Irene. The stables are spacious and cool with a lovely secure yard, beautiful paddocks, no over grazing, no other horses kept on the farm. Fabulous riding country with hardly any roadwork for literally miles around in every direction.

Received warm welcome from Peter and Irene. Cottage was spotlessly clean and a cream tea awaited us on the table. Rooms large, and beds large and very comfortable; our cottage (Jasper) would easily accommodate the advised maximum of four people; it was really too big for us! Grounds well kept and there is an adventure playground for anyone with children. Could see open moor from kitchen window, including the odd Exmoor pony and red deer. Very good location for access to woods, rivers and moorland, with many walks from our doorstep. Dog-friendly Tarr Farm Inn within walking distance for excellent lunches, dinners and refreshments. I will put some wildlife shots taken during the week on my blog at www.mowforth.co.uk.

Just wanted to put in a review to say how wonderful this place is. It is so relaxing and surprisingly very, very clean! I have been back to the States now for a week and still can't stop wishing I was back there! Peter and Irene are lovely and accomodated us with whatever we needed! I am still hoping that I can get the scone and clotted cream recipe as here in the States we don't really have this and so want to make some! Yum!

This was our third visit to West Hollowcombe and from the moment we turned into the lane it felt totally familiar. The subtle changes, a new kitchen, a new shower unit; all added to enhance the already familiar. We stayed in "Norton" and the view down the valley from the living room window is ever changing with the light, and simply unbeatable; although this last week we mostly sat in the spacious garden and enjoyed the views in the sunshine. As with both previous visits the accommodation and grounds were immaculately presented being constantly tended by Peter and Irene; without compromising privacy.

Local eating is excellent, both the Royal Oak at Withypool and Winsford serving great food and beer, the Tarr Steps likewise. However the best was to be had at Wood's in Dulverton, great service, excellent produce and a wine list to make the mouth water! The London Inn at Molland also did great fish and is worth the effort of getting there.

We'll definitely be going back to West Hollowcombe for it's peace and tranquility and as an excellent pushing off point for any number of National Trust properties and other sites of interest.

Room Tip: They're all good but we stayed in Norton and can recommend it for it's privacy and views.
