Nice location outside Telluride. They do accept pets, and there’s a great county park across the road and north of the hotel, where dogs can be off leash. Our room was clean and large, with sliding door opening out to a small grassy area (not fenced on all sides).

But expensive! The only pet-friendly room that was available ended up costing us $260 including tax. That is a LOT of money to pay for a merely OK hotel, even in this area. The breakfast buffet seemed to consist mostly of uninspiring food from Costco, plus waffles. For example, in peach season it would be great to have a basket of fresh Colorado peaches, instead of a pre-made citrus fruit salad. The hotel has a full kitchen, restaurant and bar but they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. There is nothing else close by, so you have to drive into Telluride for dinner. The entire place has an odd atmosphere, as if no one is really there to take care of it. The few staff are pleasant and helpful, but it feels a bit neglected. I wouldn’t go back there.

Loved it! The staff was amazing, food was great! Would love to go back again sometime. Wasn't very far from the ski resort. Well worth the drive to stay here in this quite quaint inn. Plenty of parking too!

The Angler Inn is a good choice for those who wish to stay near Telluride without paying Telluride prices. Staffing is quite minimal which seemed a little strange but worked ok for us upon arrival. The room was clean and comfortable but the furniture was a bit worn out. On the plus side the bathroom looked like it had been renovated and was very nice. It wasn't the quietest hotel we've stayed at but it wasn't unbearable either. The continental breakfasts were good. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night and it was quite good. My only real complaint was that we needed an iron/ironing board as we were in town for a wedding and there wasn't either one in the room. All they could do was scrounge up a somewhat rickety ironing board (which was appreciated) but no iron, so we had to go into town and buy an iron. Those types of items really should be available to guests upon request, if not included with the room.

Traveling to Telluride for a long weekend and found this affordable inn. This inn was wonderful in every way - great breakfast in the morning before we headed out to hike. Room was clean, spacious and provided everything we needed. After being out all day came back for drinks from the bar - relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the view! I would stay here again - the staff was very nice and always helpful! This was a fabulous weekend all the way around!

We stayed three nights. Room was clean. Plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable. There is a restaurant on the property (note- it's closed Sunday and Monday). The food is quite good. We ate several meals there over going into Telluride. The inn is about 15-20 minutes from Telluride, which worked for us. Quiet get away from the tourist business of Telluride but close enough to shoot in for recreation and meals. It's not fancy and there seems to be a shortage of staff. Our room wasn't tended one day but after we mentioned it, it was tended the other days. There is a bar open when the restaurant is open. Prices for the area were reasonable. It's not fancy but it's clean and has good water pressure. Mostly quiet although the upstairs people could be heard walking around in the late hours. Ear plugs help. There's breakfast in the am, which is good because there's no coffee in the room. Has a microwave and small fridge. We would go back because it's nice to have some space from Telluride and be close to exploring the surrounding area. We visited Norwood and Ouray, plus wandering all around.
