“Perfect trip to Indo!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2014

My two friends and I recently stayed at Anugerah for a week. If you are after epic waves, unexplored dive sites, picturesque white sand beaches and super helpful/friendly staff then this is the place for you! The team at Anugerah make your stay so easy and organize just about anything you may need such as a dive boat to the reef break, motorbikes for exploring, massages, quality surfboard hire, even a bonfire on the beach! We stayed in the premium losmens and we would recommend the ones near the pool. Well priced considering the incredible location and the delicious healthy 3 meals per day or fresh fruit and vege's, local fish, soups, salads and even homemade pancakes! The diving was particularly impressive and we took 3 day trips to 3 different islands over the week saw lots of marine life, colourful corals and macro stuff like nudibranchs :). Already trying to book a flight to go back. Thanks to Mike, Moose, Elizabeth, Yos, Cindy, Ivan and team for being so helpful and making our trip so incredible. See you again soon! Sophie

We stayed at Anugerah recently and had a great time. You can't beat the location right on the beach in front of the main surf break. It is an easy paddle out or you can take the resort boat from the nearby harbor. The staff at Anugerah are so friendly, fun, and helpful. The three meals a day were great and more than adequate after a few hours in the water. The resort is nestled in a nice quiet garden setting away from the front entrance. We didn't get time to do a snorkel or dive trip with Mike but there are some awesome spots to go to and would highly suggest doing that. We did see a colorful array of starfish on the inside of the reef. You can rent motor bikes from the resort and explore the area or go to Boa the other surfing spot. Anugerah is definitely good value for the price and I would highly recommend staying there.

Room Tip: I would recommend either the deluxe or premium rooms. They are closer to the front of the resort and...

We went to Anugerah to spend a nice weekend surfing, fishing and diving. Great outdoorsy life! The famous surfspot T-land is just in front of the resort and accessible with a boat within 5 minutes. For 50.000 rp you arrange a return, good service!

We were just beginner surfers so we spend more time fishing & diving. Mike, the Dutch manager, is trying to set up the diving on this island. Because he's the only one offering diving, Rote is still an undiscovered diving place. Once under water you'll see the coral is untouched and so beautiful! Mike has a lot of experience as an instructor, so you'll feel absolutely safe.

Last day we went sea fishing for the first time of our lives. Call it beginners luck; we catched a 1.5 mtrs makrel and a big barracuda. The staff prepared it very tasteful!

The prices for the rooms are ok. Some improvements can be made such as, the water pressure and an extra musquito net. Though te hygiene and the food compensates for it.

We had a nice weekend over there. Mike and the rest of the staff: thanks a lot and good luck for the future!

Cheers, Koen & Merlijn

So lovely! i was recommended by local... and turn out its worth the price: location, 3X meals, staffs were so friendly... had so much fun walking at the amazing beach. They have diving package that make you easy to enjoy beauty of underwater scenes.
Everything's basic nature, but that's what make the unique experiences, sleeping inside the pelopo house (customized) and mosquito net. Talking with locals, very quite environment.
Simple island life that make your heart warm and your soul relax.

Definitely will go back here again :-)

The Dutch man mike who runs the place is very friendly, and will go out of his way to help you. Nice pool seconds from the sand. Foods good. Bungalows are decent, price is ok, beers aren't over priced. Some of the locals working there can be rude. Literally nothing there so if ya girl isn't in to surfing, diving or fishing (which is all great) bring a friend instead. Only thing that bugged me about the place is that they had no scooter with board rack to rent me, which is a necessity but you can prob source one from elsewhere.

Dear guest.

Thank you very much for your stay and that you had a nice stay at our resort. We are trying to get the boardrecks for the motorbikes. The bikes are personal bikes of our staff so its their decision if they want to have a board reck on their bike.

Thank you for the review and feedback.

We spent 7 beautiful days in this nice resort. Even if all is quite basic , the service and quality of food was very good. The rooms are nice situated in the lush garden, all close to the big sw.pool.
The staff was always very kindly and attent to help us in all situations . Anuegrah is placed in front of a beautiful beach . The surf was awesome. Place to come back for sure .

Room Tip: Close to sw pool

I stayed at the Surf and Dive resort as part of a business trip. As i haven't traveled much outside of western accommodations, this was a tad different for me. The place is way out in the middle of nowhere down a poorly maintained road. Upon arrival, you are immediately greeted by the beauty of this beach resort. As you venture further down toward the water, you pass a gorgeous pool. The beach is practically private (except for the dogs). The sunsets are amazing! The huts are simple with no frills, but they do have electricity. The shower and toilet are outside the backdoor of the hut. I somehow managed to lock myself in the enclosed outdoor bathroom and had a scale the wall to get out. But, that just left me with a funny story to tell. After recovering from my death defying experience, I took my low water pressure shower and hopped into my mosquito netting. It was the best night's sleep I've had since arriving in Indonesia almost a week ago. It's definitely the simple life. But it was great to get away from it all. Despite the mishap with the door (the bolt apparently engaged when it shouldn't have), I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for great surfing or diving who doesn't have a lot of hang ups about needing the modern pleasures.

Room Tip: Request a hut near the pool
