Owner description: Founded in 1991, Canyon Wind Cellars is a family-owned, estate winery named for the mountain breezes that keep the fruit on our vineyard cool under the hot Colorado sun. With the assistance of renowned Napa Winemaker, Robert Pepi, the Christianson family produces award-winning, signature wines utilizing low-intervention winemaking and sustainable practices. Glad that Boreas was up your alley - sorry that we just ran out! On the other hand we just released Anemoi Notus and it is really fun!

“One of my favorite wineries!”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

Great experience at Canyon Winds. I liked this winery so much that I went there twice in 2 days--and didn't return to any of the other wineries for a 2nd visit. The tasting room is well-appointed and hospitable, and the 2 employees the first day we tasted were very nice and outgoing. They were knowledgeable about their wines and the history of the winery. There is a large outdoor patio covered by large shady trees, overlooking the Grand Mesa, where you can sit, relax and enjoy your wine. The grounds are immaculately landscaped, and the wines are great. Highly recommend!!!!

“Great Wine!”
Reviewed August 25, 2006

This was one of my favorites that i have tried in a while. Their winemaking has a great California flair with their winemaker the famous Robert Pepi. They have a great group of reds, my favorite was the Cab Frank. If you go to one winery in Colorado, this is the one.
