Owner description: Maison La Belle Vie (French for "House of Beautiful Life") was planted 8 years ago. The first vintages from the estate winery, were introduced in 2006 and included Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Rosé and Muscat; a dessert wine that is traditional in the Loire Valley in France. Maison la Belle Vie has now added 3 Reserve wines, a Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot all aged for 4 years as well as the famous Vin de Peche; a Muscat, fortified with peaches - a recipe from John's family that has been handed down through the generations since the late 1800's. A new addition is a hand crafted walnut liquor that is simply delicious.

My friend hosted an event at this winery and had it catered by the owner/chef. The food was terrific and the wine was amazing. It is higher in price but worth it. The owner has a fun, pleasant personality and they have on site options for weddings and other events.

We really enjoyed the wines at Maison La Belle Vie, and the quirky decor was fun too! The owner is originally from the French Loire Valley, and his wines definitely reflect his heritage. Maison la Belle Vie produces a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Red Table Wine, and delicious Rosé. The Vin de Pêche, made from a recipe in the owner's family since the 1800’s, is a specialty and of particular interest since the Palisade valley is famous for its peaches. Also interesting is the walnut liquor -- really unique.

Not sure why anyone would call this place snooty. Had a great time with the staff and they never rushed us even though we came at closing time. Love red wines and thaws were some of the best I've tasted in the valley. Nice place to sit and visit with friend whether it's outside or inside. Must see and drink!

My husband and I stopped by Maison la Belle Vie Winery during our honeymoon in Palisade and it was one of our favorite places. The winery was adorable and had a very nice sitting area outside. We enjoyed all of the wines that we tasted and found them to be an affordable price. If back in Palisade again, we will definitely be visiting here again!!

The wine tasting is similar to most other Palisade wineries. Everyone's taste is different but I did thoroughly enjoy the 2007 Port. I also purchased this wine. A bit disapointed that they offered Hershey's Kisses as the chocolate to pair with it. We happened upon our wine tasting while a wedding was occurring on the back patio. This was a very nice location for a wedding. Just outside the tasting room was a shaded picnic area decorated like a French bistro. I wish we had known of it before we ate lunch elsewhere. The tasting room offered cheese and crackers for purchase. They also offered some unique t-shirts for sale.
