Lucky we were to find this pet friendly inn with a very clean, quiet and comfortable room. The inn has an outstanding collection of old black and white photographs depicting life in the region in the late 19th-early 20th century. It is well worth the walk down the hallways to study the quality photography. By far though, the best reason to stay here, is to have Chef Marcelo create something scrumptious for you for dinner. We had the pleasure of meeting him at the free wine tasting. He offered to make us something off the menu. We were more than happy to cooperate and let him work his magic! He surprised us with each fabulous course. Everything was wonderful with the added freshness of Palisade produce. Buffet breakfast was tasty as well. We definitely would stay here again and recommend to friends. Thank you Marcelo for an outstanding dinner!

We had the pleasure of staying three nights at Colorado Wine Country Inn and were favorably impressed for many reasons. The staff was quite attentive and committed to making our visit a positive one. The complimentary breakfast, as well as the food in the lounge and restaurant, was superb. The inn is attractive and well maintained with cleanliness and comfort being high priorities. The inn is surrounded by vineyards, orchards and lovely landscaping. Although we were a couple meeting another couple, I think families with children would enjoy the large swimming pool and and nearby attractions. Wine Country Inn is definitely on our ''favorites'' list.

Room Tip: The rooms on the 3rd floor provided a beautiful view.

After looking on line at various bed and breakfast options in Palisade we chose the Wine Country Inn because of it's setting, surrounded by vineyard property. It was better than we even expected. The location is very convenient and picturesque, The inn is clean, spacious, and quaint-looking and the staff was terrific. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly,. Our room had a nice view out of both windows and was convenient to the pool, the parking lot, and a great outdoor lawn area where the Friday evening band/bbq event was held. From 5 to 6 pm daily guests can get a complimentary glass of wine in the lobby area, and we enjoyed ours both days we were there, sitting in the white wooden rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch where we met and chatted with other guests. The pool and hot tub are very nice and there are plenty of lounge chairs. The food here is excellent...we enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast both days, buffet style but much better than the typical hotel buffets, and we ordered dessert and coffee in the restaurant while the band was on break on Friday night, and were awed by the dessert sampler. There are two different restaurants here but they serve the same menu, one is more formal and the other more casual. We were told by townspeople that it is the best food in town, and judging by the dessert sampler as well as the big pulled park sandwich we had at the bbq event on the lawn, it is! Guests can attend the Friday night concerts for free, and the inn sets up an area outside with a limited food menu as well as beer/wine/soda/water available for purchase. The band/singer that night were terrific and people were dancing the entire three hours! This is the perfect home-base for a trip to Palisade to explore wineries, starting right next door. I would recommend this to anyone!!

Room Tip: We were in room 200, on the SE corner of the building. No one was next to us on one side, it was very quiet, and overlooked vineyard land and other scenery around Palisade.

We only stayed one night during a long road trip, but enjoyed our stay immensely.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the room comfortable, clean and quiet, the pool area beautiful and the food was delicious; we ate at one of the hotel's two restaurants in the evening and had the inclusive breakfast, both of which were fine.
The scenery around the hotel is stunning and it is very near to the Interstate, although this could not be heard from the hotel.
Guests are invited to the free wine tasting for a short period in the early evening and drinks can be taken to a relaxing rocking chair or a table on the outside patio area.
The small town of Palisade is worth a visit; there were some bars and restaurants which looked interesting, but we did not use any.
Delicious, fresh peaches and other fruits can be bought from stores along the road into town.

Room Tip: All the rooms looked good.

It's a great place to stay for leisure time, but our bad experience was with our daughters wedding. They promised "the moon" & didn't even come close to what we expected. They charged a horrific price & didn't produce the "service" we were told they would. The wedding planner was awesome....on paper. Her best productivity was setting up the banquet room...everything else sucked. NO outdoor decorations were provided even though she said they would. Nothing, not even a palm leaf. The bar staff for the wedding were rude & not fun to deal with. The list goes on & on. As I said earlier, it's a great place to stay a couple of nights...but don't plan an event there. Horrible!!!!

Room Tip: Make sure you get what you pay for. We booked & were charged for a KING size room ~ they gave us a queen & tried to get away with KING price. Not cool!
