Nicely appointed rooms, decent buffet breakfast included in the rate with a few hot items like scrambled eggs, potatos and french toast, great complimentary wine tasting in the afternoon (Leslie is very knowledgeable about all of the wineries in the GJ area). Good value overall.

We decided to stay at The Wine Country Inn on a trip from Denver to St. George. The Victorian Style Inn is set in the middle of a Vineyard in Palisade with easy access to I-70.
In fact, our stay exceeded our expectations, so we booked the Inn on the way back home.

All the staff were friendly and welcomed you as if you were family, the room was clean and spacious, tastefully decorated, and had fabulous views. The Assistant Manager, Joe Scanlon, was extremely helpful from the outset, from making the reservation, checking us in, as well as his advice on wines and local vineyards. There was a complimentary evening wine tasting hosted by Jim who discussed the area and golf courses. We decided to have dinner at the Inn's Tapestry Lounge, where the food, wine and service were excellent thanks to Heidi who helped us with our selections.
The Free Buffet Breakfast was also delicious with a great choice of hot food, cereal, pastries, and all your general breakfast items. A great start to the next 6hrs of travel

We would definitely recommend The Wine Country Inn for an overnight stop or to stay longer and tour the vineyards, Grand Junction, play golf, or just to visit the area to purchase the famous Palisade Peaches.

We stayed at the Wine Country Inn for one night on our way to Denver. I would love to go back and spend a couple of days! The hotel is set in the middle of a vinyard which I am sure would be beautiful when it is in bloom. This hotel is a very nice, and unexpected, pleasure. I actually decided to make a reservation based on reviews on TripAdvisor. I had called ahead to assure that we could book a handicapped accessible bathroom. When we arrived the gentleman at the front desk apologized and took us there had been an overbooking of these rooms. When we told him that we really did not need a roll in shower, just a raised bathroom seat, he said let me see what I can do, upgraded us to a better room and made the accomodation. We were very pleased, the room was lovely and very well appointed and clean. We also chose to eat dinner on the property at the Tapis Lounge and were very impressed with both the service and the food. The included breakfast the following morning was excellent as well. During our dinner the front desk clerk came to our table to ask if the room was alright and was very pleasant. I was very impressed by everything at this hotel, would highly recommend it and have not had such great customer service for quite some time.

Our stay at the Wine Country Inn was interesting. The facility is relatively new and very well appointed and certainly attractive. Out disappointment came with the service and pretentious attitude overall. We went to Palisade (the adjacent town) for a wine festival and found that the rates at the hotel was $100 more per night for that particular weekend which was bad enough but we got "free entrance" to an after-hours celebration (other patrons paid an $8 cover charge) where we could "enjoy" drinks, food and entertainment, all of which we could "enjoy' for a substantial price. We asked for a glass of water and were told that we could get a bottle of water for $2! We were told by the waitress that if we wanted free water we could get a cup in the hotel lobby at a dispenser! Classy. Free wine was advertised the evening prior in the lobby. A very small glass was given and then we were told to go to the hotel bar if we wanted to "enjoy" more. The staff was efficient but needs to take classes in friendliness. We never saw a smile all weekend. This is Palisade, Colorado, not New York or London! We have traveled to Europe extensively and have felt more comfortable at the best hotels there than at the Wind Country Inn. Pretentiousness, poor customer relations and price gouging does not a good hotel make.

We are somewhat picky travelers and were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Room was spacious. Free breakfast was well above average. Hotel staff were very accomodating. If you are worried about noise, ask for a room on the opposite side of the highway. Yes, you can sometimes here footsteps in the rooms above you, but not a deal breaker. We will definitely return for another stay.

The Inn is located in a small town in the wine country of western Colorado - in fact it is in walking distance to a winery. It is the perfect place for a weekend getaway or to be the base location as you tour the many small vinyards located in Palisade.

The Inn itself is very nice and extremely clean. The rooms are large and the accommodations are well maintained. The Tapestry Lounge serves as the location for their meals and the food is very very good. The pool and hot tub are readily available to children and adults alike.

The staff has a laid back attitude that goes with the wine experience, but they will go to extraordinary measures to accommodate any guests requestsand ensure that the guest is having a good stay. It does not take long for them to learn your name and you to learn thiers. The are very personable and are willing to share the closeness of their family with you as you set on the patio and experience the band play soft jazz while you sip on a peach drink. (Thanks again Joe, Saunders, Leslie, and Lori)

Not being a person that is easily at home when I travel the staff made me and my group feel very comfortable. That may be the best word to describe the whole experience - very comfortable.

My friends and I were taking a trip in Colorado, and some of our wives found the Wine Country Inn, in Palisade, when they looked online. I was a bit skeptical, but went with an open mind. When we arrived I was impressed from the start. Joe Scanlon and his crew were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on things to see and places to visit in the area. The hotel itself was perfect. It was clean and bright. No “hotel smell”. The pool, hot tub, and patio were beautiful. The band that played on Friday night was an excellent local band. The vineyard at the hotel was beautiful, and the wine made from their own grapes was great. We are making plans for our next visit.
