“Best chili burger in years”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

What a nice spot in Pagosa. On the river with a deck overlooking it. Friendly family folks.
Had the best chili burger here in years. Red or green chili, I had the green, smothered over the open faced burger, melted cheese and the two kinds of beans it comes with. You have to eat it from the middle out, to make sure you get it all.

“Great Chicken Fried Steak--Great Decor!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

The decor of this 50's style restaurant is fabulous and we enjoyed talking to the owner and staff. After reading reviews of the chicken-fried steak, I wonder if these folks have ever had fresh, homemade chicken fried steak!! Mine was excellent....thick, well-cooked, and flavorful with good white gravy--not thin, frozen, fresh out of a box!!! The owner took time to tell us about the place and the staff was very friendly. We WILL stop again during our next trip thru Pagosa Springs.

“Real New Mexico Chile!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2014 via mobile

Seriously. It's good chile. In Colorado even?! Burger was cooked to perfection. Homemade Frito pies. Good beers on tap. Amazing singer/songwriter taking requests. VERY friendly staff.

What's the secret salsa recipe? She swears it isn't chipotle.

JJ's was exactly what I needed. Good people, great drinks, best service. Owners chatted with us, very involved and care about the restaurant. Great addition to Pagosa Springs.

“Did You Lick My Hotdog?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014 via mobile

Well... this place was odd. Very cute decor, the food was good, the service was prompt and friendly. However, the food was outrageously overpriced for some items. For instance, I paid $5 for a tiny milkshake that was the size of a sundae dish. Then there were the cooks... two guys came out from the kitchen, covered in food, looking like they hadn't showered in a week. One with long hair, loose and no hat. The other one actually LICKED his hand right before handing a customer a milkshake. Umm... ew.
