“Great weekend getaway”

We were looking for a getaway from a stressful couple of weeks this was the perfect spot! The staff was very welcoming the tub selection was fantastic the grounds were beautiful and the room was excellent. The fire pits around the property were a great spot to gather between soaks and meet people from all over.

It was great to have an adults only portion of the tub areas it would've been nice to have an adults only portion of the hotel as well.

The staff's treatment of us as guests was exceptional. The only suggestion I would make is that made service could be done a couple of times a day because of frequent showers between six and the hot tubs. We could use some extra towels, etc. and had to track down the maids to get them for guests who are staying more than 24 hours.

Room Tip: I would suggest the turret suites.

I saw this resort on the internet. I was looking for a gift for my boyfriend's birthday. It snowed on the way through Wolf Creek pass, what a beautiful drive! The many, many pools were such a wonderful surprise! The twenty-four hour use for guests is the best ever! This place is top notch and will definitely be first choice in the future.

This is by far one of the gems of this world! The springs that are the major draw of Pagosa have the ability to soothe the most jangled nerves or the most stressed out life! The springs are of various temperatures to accomodate any personal choices. The room we stayed in (110) was well appointed and the window looked out at the "mother spring". Pets are allowed for an extra $100. This is a must do for any person, couple or family!

Room Tip: Any room within budget is great!!!

We had a lovely stay! We loved the new hotel and the front desk staff, Shelly, was great! I spent a day at the Spa and in the pools while my husband hunted. The manager of the spa named Rachaelwas darling and so helpful. I had a great massage and a great pedicure! The Spa has really upgraded since we were there last. I bought several gifts from the retail area in The Spa because they have really nicked priced items.
The soaking is just wonderful. The Springs is our favorite vacation spot!
The only complaint was they don't have a restaurant on site. However, there are nice restaurants everywhere in walking distance!

Beautiful location, and, if you can stay in the hotel itself, cozy and comfortable.
The hot springs pools are available 24 hours a day. Very nice. Only negative is a confusing website that could misrepresent what part off the property you are reserving.

My husband and I stayed here twice this summer. The first time with the Ride the Rockies bike trip in June and then over Labor Day week. There is so much to do in this area regarding outdoor activities. (hiking,mountain biking)
The Springs staff very professional,helpful and courteous.
We stayed in one of the newer (but not the newest )buildingfor both stays.
If you stay at the Springs, there is 24 hour access to the hot springs. Great views along side San Juan River.
Cons: No resturant, smoking is allowed on property and there are ashtrays located right outside the rooms.They recycle but only cans? Why not plastic bottles and glass and paper?
Pros: quiet, although the hot springs get their share of redneck wahoos. Great location.

Room Tip: ask for newer buildings or stay at newest building.

We recycle cans primarily because they are more prevalent around our grounds for sodas and other beverages. Though we don't offer plastic-paper-glass recycling in-room, we do recycle these items for the hotel itself. We were recently awarded TripAdvisor's Green Leaders PLATINUM due to our eco-friendly practices and eco-wise property. Pricey, yes, but worth it I would say. Resorts in the Colorado mountains are usually not inexpensive and these are as expected, more than $200 a night. The rooms are nice with kitchenettes. However, I've been few places as charming with numerous pools (ten or more) fed by natural hot springs of varied temperatures. The price of the room includes pool access 24 hours. Someone goes around each morning and takes the temp and then hangs a sign on the pool that accurately reports it is 100 degrees or 103 or 105 or 107. It's wonderful to move from pool to pool, knowing the ones overlooking the river are the best view. The sulfur smell is mild and actually made my lungs feel better since I was recovering from a cold.

You can can look over the edge and watch mergansers feeding in the San Juan River and the steam rising off the springs gives a beautiful look to the river and resort. The Resort has no restaurant but you can easily walk over the bridge to River Pointe Cafe for great coffee, food and ambiance at breakfast time. Many other great restaurants are nearby. We didn't try spa services but will save that for the next time. There will be a next time.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the ground level if stairs are a challenge with your bags.
