“Great tasting food but beware the lard!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

The food here tastes great but is filled with lard! Even though it tastes good unhealthy food of this type has to get a poor rating. Everything comes sizzling hot to keep the grease from coagulating. Here's the test: When you get your food pour some of the grease onto a platter and then throw on some ice. In a few seconds you will see what you are about to eat and it is pretty gross! Otherwise they have good prices, it is a great mexican restaurant atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly, polite, & courteous. If you dont care about what you stuff down the pie-hole then you will love this place. If you are trying to watch your weight then think twice before you indulge or eat only salads.

“Consistently good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

Two visits to this restaurant in the last year and it was solid both times. Great chips and salsa, good beer selection, flavorful recipes with good-sized portions at a reasonable price. Combine that with an attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere and this place has everything I could possibly ask for in a Mexican restaurant.

It's kid-friendly, too, with a mellow TV-free environment.

“Great Food”

The salsa was very, very good. We were two couples and we all enjoyed our meal. Would try the buffet if we ate here again while in Pagosa Springs.

“Better go inside!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2012

Ramone's is in a shopping area, but don't let that throw you off! It has a nice Mexican feel when you get inside and terrific waitstaff. The food is fresh and delicious, not mass produced. We were pleasantly surprised when we went and would return.

“Great salsa & veggie burrito!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2012

Loved their chips & salsa! Decor & service was good too, and they willingly made me a veggie burrito although there wasn't one on the extensive menu. Also, gave me some plain pinto beans since they had some ready & their refried beans are not vegetarian. Generous portions & delicious food!

First time I went was with a group & most loved their food too. Good combo platter choices. A few didn't like the queso, which is melted cheese, because they were expecting cheese dip and thought this was too stiff. But I & the others at my table thought it was very tasty.

I liked this Mexican restuarant better than the one across from the springs, which was slightly more expensive too.
