“Texas invasion”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Skiied a couple of days here with my family...along with a multitude of other Texans during spring break. Mixed experience for sure. The first day the lift lines were incredibly long, the second day we went, the lift lines were very reasonable. The runs were fairly well maintained, however for beginer skiiers there aren't a whole lot of different green runs to choose from. But fairly reasonable prices and the shuttle service from the parking lot are very attentive and will drop you off at your vehicle. Easy drive over the pass on a well maintained road from Pagosa Springs.

“Not a huge mountain, short runs, but good value and fantasic snow.”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Very isolated location but one of the best locations for snow in Colorado. Tickets are reasonably priced compared to northern Colorado prices. The mountain is not very big and the runs are over fast, but the lift lines are also very short and the snow is typically as good or better than most other locations. My favorite ski area on a light powder day. Getting to and from can be tricky as steep mountain passes surround the area but the views on the drive in and out are quite amazing as well.

“Great Colorado skiing”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is an out-of-the way area that boasts the most snow in Colorado. Great family resort - none of the expensive frills but great skiing and never long lift lines. Food is excellent, great price and all the workers are super friendly. You don't have to worry about walking from car to resort as they have buses every few minutes to take you there and back - yeah!! Prices are also great.

“They always have the snow”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Wolf Creek is small. It's the same distance to here as it is to the bigger, more luxurious ski resorts. Peak 8 at Breckenridge is our all time favorite, but for half the price of Breck and the same hours in the car, Wolf Creek is the bomb with more snow to boot! Literally, when comparing lift tickets and ski rental for my family of 5- now considered 4 adults and one child, for three days skiing, it costs $1992 at Breck at least 7 days in advance and it costs $962 at Wolf Creek. This year, 2013, Breck has 59" base and Wolf Creek has 80" base. Last year 2012, Wolf Creek was the only place around with any snow. There were no bare rocks or dirt showing through the snow like my friends complained of at other resorts in Colorado during Spring Break. Wolf Creek is small, but it doesn't feel small because it's not usually too busy. Lines generally aren't a problem even during Spring Break.

“First Time Skiing at Wolf Creek”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Wolf Creek is known for having earlier and mnore snow than just about anyplace in the continental US. When we went in early March there was good snow and well groomed. Even though it was a Saturday the lift lines were not too bad.
