Our family stayed in the cabins while driving through Colorado with our four teenagers and we are so glad we did!
The owners Bob and France were welcoming, accommodating and gracious. They love what they do and it shows. The cabins are. charmingly decorated and extremely comfortable. No detail is overlooked. The area had so much to do we wish we could have stayed longer. Great town, great outdoor adventures for all levels. Want to come back as soon as we can.

This is what it's all about-making great memories and enjoying everything we have to offer.
We hope all our future guests will feel the same way! This is called the hospitality business for a reason-we try to provide a home away from home for each and every guest, and make their stay as comfortable as possible. And if you have a special request, just ask and we will try to make it happen if at all possible.

Come back soon, to the same warm welcome!

great service , rooms and cabins clean , the location is a plus . being on a sightseeing trip we leave the room by 8 am and don't get back until late after dinner . i must say i'm quite happy with the fact the hot tubs are'nt locked up after 9pm . after a long day of jostling about on a steam train or jeep its soothing to relax in a hot tub for a couple hours peace . stayed here now 4 years in a row and will stay again .

Sounds like you had a great time on your tour this year. Glad the hot tubs helped you relax after all the activities. Come back when you have more time to just relax and enjoy Pagosa Springs-we have lots to offer. One or two days is never enough to get to know this area and all the great people here.
Thank you so much for staying with us and writing such a nice review. It is much appreciated.

We stayed here last time we were in Pagosa and vowed to stay again next time. We booked a room on Saturday last week for the next night (Sunday.) (Cancellation policy clearly states 2 weeks.) Sunday morning we had car trouble, and we were unable to make the drive. I called and staff was VERY understanding and relisted the cabin we had reserved immediately. I called quite a few times during the day to see if it had been rented, and (although I am sure the staff was annoyed with me calling) the staff was very patient and kept explaining it hadn't been rented yet. About 2pm when I called the owner told me not to worry, they were going to let it go and weren't going to charge us! I was happy to pay, but they assured me it was ok. I felt terribly about not paying and voiced this to the staff. About an hour later I got a message from Lynn that the cabin had JUST rented and that I shouldn't worry. That Phone call (for me) was above and beyond customer service!
So, although we weren't able to stay this time, we will definitely stay here (if they will let me-haha) next time we are in Pagosa.

We are so glad you had a great experience the first time you stayed, and decided to come back again. We're sorry the second time didn't work out for you. But conventional wisdom always says--the third time is the charm, so we hope to see you again. Thank you for the great review and letting others know your experience with HCL.

This motel is great value. It is a few miles out of the heart of Pagosa Springs, but the location is okay. The service was very friendly. The breakfast was simple, but of high quality and the atmosphere was nice. There were plenty of on site facilities - the hot tubs were great. The rooms could do with a bit of modernization, and it would have been nice to have bedside tables on both sides. That said, this is a very good value motel and we would stay here again.

This was one of the highlights of our 17 night road trip. My husband and I stayed in a small cabin that was fabulous. The cabin was spacious for us, it had two double beds, a well equipped kitchen area, a very cosy bathroom and a lovely porch. We loved the decor and the bed was very comfortable. The lodge is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds outside the office, walking around the grounds and the hot tubs looked great.
The breakfast was great. Waffles, eggs, toast, a great coffee machine and fresh fruit.
Our only regret was that we only stayed for one night!

It makes us feel so good when our guests enjoy so much of what we offer. The whole point of "hospitality" is to offer the amenties that make a person feel at home, when they're not!
Thank you so much for staying with us, we enjoyed having you. Come back often, or try a different season-Pagosa Springs has so much to offer, it's impossible to see it all in just 1 day.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with others.

Very friendly, helpful staff! Immaculate. GREAT Mattress. Homey log cabin decor. Beautiful setting against the hill. SUPER tasty breakfast! Hot tub plus sunset in the Rockies = MAGIC! Hiking path up the hillside...energized. Quiet pond with a little bridge to its island, and a wooden swing for two to relax. Manicured lawns and adorable flower baskets on the porches. High quality air conditioning in the cabin that makes no weird noises as you sleep. We stayed 3 days for our 40th Anniversary Celebration, and we have NO complaints, only great appreciation for the perfection they have achieved in lodging.

Room Tip: The log cabins give so much privacy, and your own porch to enjoy reading your favorite novel.

After staying in six different Colorado hotels, my two teenage boys said this one was the best! This lodge has so much to offer and the grounds were lovely and very well kept. My boys played Frisbee on the lawn, and went frog catching near the pond. We didn't get a chance to use all their amenities...they had a wall full of board games, puzzles, and DVDs. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Their breakfast had lots of healthy options (hot and cold) and the breakfast room was huge with plenty of seating. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Just wish that we stayed more than one night!
