Owner description: You have a unique opportunity to "break the earthly bonds of gravity," and if you've been dreaming about flying--try this! Imagine a magic carpet ride. The adventure begins shortly after sunrise when the mountain air is still calm and stable. Ballooning is an "hands-on" participation sport, and we will enlist your energy in the set-up and inflation of the balloon (optional). Have your camera ready to capture the excitement as our beautiful giant (120 feet tall, holding 240,000 cubic feet of hot air) rises for its journey. You'll then climb aboard our basket for the flight of a lifetime enjoying the enchanting sights and tranquility that can only be experienced from a hot air balloon. We may fly inches over the area lakes for a breathtaking "splash-n-dash," a little higher for some souvenir pine cones from the tops of trees or up to 3,000 feet for a 200 mile panoramic view of 4 states. Throughout the flight, there is no sense of height or motion, only a dreamlike floating sensation.

This was our first experience hot air ballooning. We have 2 kids (11 & 14) and we all went up. It was fantastic. The kids were amazed. Captain Mike shared a lot of information about the area and pointed out many of the landmark. It was a great experience. Once we landed, my son, who likes to tell us he is afraid of heights, asked when we could do it again.

We did the hot air balloon ride on the 4th of July, it was amazing. Captain Mike told us a lot about the area and the views were amazing. After we landed we had a champagne toast and muffins. Can't wait to do it again.

We had the pleasure of riding in the Rose Window balloon with Captain John. This is a total experience. We helped set up and take down the balloon. Captain John expertly performed a 'splash & dash' in the lake, which was nerve wracking, but exciting. The views are spectacular. It was well worth getting up early to make the 7 am start time. This experience comes complete with a champagne toast at the end. Highly recommended!!!

We have always wanted to ride in a hot balloon and finally got the chance! Pagosa is a perfect place to try this adventure! They have a large basket so the entire family could go. The entire crew was nice and the pilot is awesome. If you get the chance while you are there - take this ride, you will not regret it.

We were in Pagosa Springs this last summer and enjoyed the natural springs and the totally enchanting area. We had a chance to take a balloon ride, which we had never done before. We started out in the morning and were able to see and experience everything from the very beginning -- filling the balloon, watching the first group's take-off, taking our turn...it was absolutely AMAZING! There is nothing...NOTHING...like floating on air like this! We've been in small airplanes and helicopters...but this is so much more...it can't be described in words. See the pictures we took! Pilot Mike Marchand was great -- professional and personable. All of the crew members who helped were also the BEST!
