“Won't stay there again”

From the get go, this place was a serious disappointment. We had just driven 7 hours and wanted to just check in and relax without someone trying to get us to attend a timeshare presentation for a few goodies. I said three times, we were there to ski only, and she didn't stop. Next, we were told the activity center across the street would sell us lift tickets. It didn't and it couldn't since it was closed. The front desk obviously didn't know the schedule of the activity center or that we couldn't get discounted lift tickets at that time. When I went to the same activity center on a different day to use the internet advertised in the brochure, I was ignored by two employees stuffing envelopes and chatting. When I was finally acknowledged, one of the women said they didn't have internet there and hadn't for two or three years. The first time I flushed the toilet with only a small amount of toilet paper in it, if overflowed and gave me a toilet shower before I could get the water turned off. The heat dropped down in the unit to 46 degrees two nights in a row when the thermostat just turned itself off, and the volume on the tv went up and down on its own. I wondered if the place had gremlins or something. Although there had been a big storm a few days before our arrival and there were very few guests, the parking lot, sidewalk, and porch had not been shoveled so we dragged our bags through the snow. When the battery on my car went dead and I called to say I needed a jump and had my own cables, I was informed it is not in the the policy to jump cars. The unit was drafty and had a 3/8 inch gap all around the front door that literally showed daylight. The unit looked like it hadn't been updated since the 80's and was cheaply constructed. Chipped pink countertop, old brass fixtures, old jacuzzi, etc.

Pagosa Springs is a charming town and the ski resort is awesome, but I will not stay at the Wyndham again.

We requested a 3 Room condo, they told us they did not have one, so we were stuck into a 2 Rm. with 7 people in our party, the 1st night we were there my son-in-law got sick and thought he was going to have to go to the emergency room, as he lay on the bathroom floor, as he is highly allergic to cats, there was the smell of cat urine in the condo and out on the patio, my husband has COPD, they both were ill. We called the office the next day and they put us in a 3 Rm condo. Go figure why didn't we get the 3 Room in the first place without cat urine.

My husband and I visited Wyndam Pagosa Springs for our anniversary. We both needed rest and relaxation. We got it! The place is so quiet and the scenery just beautiful. We were in the Teal landing buildings. Newly remodeled, nice jacuzzi tub and very cozy KING bed. It is safe to say I will return!

We stayed here with my parents, and 4 very small children. This was a cool place for families with like 8-12 year old kids, but my kids were 5 and under. The unit we were in was really out-dated, and there is a really old wrot iron staircase directly in the center of the unit that connected the top floor loft bedroom (without a door...to keep my kids from falling down the staircase) all the way to the "basement" where there was a "hot tub". It was a constant stress trying to keep the kids away from the "staircase of death" The so-called hot tub was actually just a spa bath-tub that could only comfortably accomidate 2 adults, and was a creepy concept. Who wants to share a bath with your parent?!? needless to say, it didn't get used. I do however believe that if my kiddos were older, that the stress would be removed, and we would have had a much more relaxing time. The staff was very friendly, and helpful.

We had a one-week timeshare that turned out to be fabulous. The rooms were large and well-laid out in our 1-bedroom unit. We had a back balcony that faced a lake and could watch the sunset and the geese and ducks. The unit had a kitchen, small dining table, and washer-dryer. There was a small welcome basket with microwave popcorn, salt and pepper, hot chocolate, and some other useful stuff. There was dishwasher and washer detergent, so we didn't have to buy any. Everything was very well lit - even with 3-way bulbs in some lamps - great for reading. The only thing in the unit that was not good was the sofa bed - very lumpy and uncomfortable (would be hard to sleep on for a whole week). Location was great - Pagosa Springs is beautiful and the hot springs were wonderful. We took day trips to Mesa Verde, Durango and Silverton, Taos, and other surrounding places. The scenery was fabulous. Maintenance was very prompt and the office people were very helpful when the airlines misplaced one of our bags.

We are two 60 something married couples who have been meeting for the past thirteen years for a vacation together. The resort was easy to find with a large sign on the highway directing us to Registration. Registration did take about 20 minutes as we arrived right at 4:00 PM along with everybody else. You check-in and then are directed to the Activities desk where the resort activities are explained to you and the area shopping and restaurants are recommended. They do try and get you to attend a sales seminar where a simple but polite "No thanks" sufficed to end that conversation. We were assigned to a unit in the Peregrine section. What we had could best be described as four-plex and we had half of it with two one bedroom units with an interior door between. Both sides had a kitchen, dining area, bathroom, bedroom, and living area.. It worked out well for the four of us. One unit was somewhat larger than the other so except for sleeping, most of time was spent in that unit. The unit(s) was spotlessly clean although a tiny bit worn and slightly dated. The dining area had a table and 6 chairs with a breakfast nook with another table and two chairs. There is a bar between the kitchen and dining area with two stools. On the second day we discovered there was a hot tube in a bump out on the back of the building. We used it several times and had it to ourselves every time. The kitchen is small but contained everything we needed to cook a meal for four. A time or two we "borrowed" a item or two from the second kitchen but only for convenience sake. There was a small basket with some treats along with a packet of coffee and some hot chocolate coffee filters and salt and pepper. The unit had a stacked washer and dryer and a couple packets of detergent supplied with more available at the front desk. We did have to call maintenance to unplug the lint from the dryer vent which is up under the eves but that small job was done by the time we returned to the unit that afternoon. In some reviews some people have been "offended" that there are Canadian Geese on the property. Yes you do have to watch where you step at times but c'mon, the geese were there before the resort was. There is an Activities Center and a Recreation Building neither of which we used except to purchase an on site fishing license. The WiFi was free but slooooow best to use it early in the day.
