“Wyndham was great!”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

We really enjoyed the Wyndham Pagosa Springs Resort. It was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The views are breathtaking and we will definitely visit again. There were a lot of things to do in the area and the food all over town was GREAT! If you love some good Mexican food, go to Chato's Mexican Restaurant....it is THE BEST!!!

Room Tip: we stayed overlooking the golf course and it was amazing. wouldn't recommend the double level fo...

After reading several reviews, we decided to let the chips fall where they may. I do believe we received the best accommodations that Wyndham had to offer. We were on the 3rd floor at Master Place which had a beautiful lake view. The unit itself was very clean although the outside of the windows could have been cleaner and there were spider webs on the outside of the building. Not one insect was ever spotted on the inside. The furnishings were very nice and useable and the kitchen was fully stocked with the exception of not having a tea kettle (plenty of pans to warm water). We were convinced to attend a sales pitch. The salesman was very informative and graciously accepted a no, thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for the Master's Place

This has to be one of the worse Wyndham's I have stayed in. The unit is so outdated it isn't even funny. The TV's look like they belong in the 1970's. The kitchen is so small one can hardly turn around. The stove and refrigerator looks like something from an efficiency apartment and are so outdated that we had to use ice cube trays in order to have ice. The kitchen light was removed so lighting was an issue. There are other sections of the Wyndham Resort so thing may be better in those units. I am a Wyndham Gold VIP member however I would never recommend this section (Peregrine) to anyone. Be aware that this resort has active sales people so you will be invited to a free breakfast or lunch in order to sell Wyndham timeshare. I would not recommend Wyndham timeshares to any one. By the time you pay the cost for the shares and the maintenance fees you can stay in some mighty nice hotels.

Room Tip: There are a lot of eating places close to the resort and a Kroger City Market is close if you want t...

Could use some TLC. Windows don't lock to easily. Closets folding doors don't open or close easily. The Eagles Loft unit that we stayed in could use some freshening up. There is geese droppings all around the Eagle Loft units. But the afternoon showers have been washing it away. It doesn't take long for the geese to lay their droppings all over the place again. I have killed 6 spiders in the unit that we were staying in.

If you are looking for peace and tranquility look no further. They beautiful scenery with cool nights. They have nice 25 yard swimming pool with 2 lap lanes. Nice workout gym with plenty of equipment.

Check out Boss Hoggs restaurant for some very good food. There is a city market grocery store close by.

My husband & I stayed here for one week through RCI points. I called ahead 2 weeks prior to our arrival to request a room either at Teal Landing (lake view) or Peregrine (golf course view) based on prior reviews here. Plus the reviews mentioned these were the most updated units. When we arrived, they told us they placed us in the Village Pointe area which is still a lake view since that was our 1st preference. We were given a 1st floor unit which faced the lake but also had part of the golf course in front of the lake. The accommodations were ok - not too modern but decent. We stayed there for 1 night and then the 2nd night we got neighbors that arrived in the unit upstairs from us. The sound was terrible-you can hear every footstep. We knew we were not going to be able to handle a whole week of that so we went to the front desk the following morning to inquire about getting another room. The assistant manager, Susan, was AWESOME. She was extremely helpful & wanted to make sure we were happy. She gave us a couple options. One of them being at Eagles Loft. We checked that unit out and didn't like it at all. Seemed more outdated but practical for large families. When we went back to tell her, she ended up finding another unit at Village Pointe but it was an upstairs unit and it ended up being perfect for us the rest of our stay. The grounds on the property are very well maintained & the location is perfect. Durango was just an hour away. We also drove down highway 84 to Santa Fe and what a beautiful highway! Gorgeous all the way and just under 3 hours each way. We will definitely come back and stay here again but will make sure we are in an upstairs unit facing the lake.

Room Tip: Definitely call ahead. Make sure to get an upstairs unit. Teal Landing & Village Pointe face the...

I have been to this resort 2 times. The first time the experience was amazing. I called ahead of time and requested a room close to the lake and the room they gave us had the most amazing view of the mountain and the lake. The second time I did not call and the room that was assigned to us was a bit small. The location of the resort is really good: close to restaurants and the only super market you will find in Pagosa. The drive to the ski are is about 30-40 minutes and the town and hot springs are less than 10 minutes away. The is not much to do around other than spending time with the family everything closes early in town. We went during winter, so I guess this is why we did not have much to do other than going to ski. Durango is 1 hours away and four corners is much farther.

Room Tip: Call ahead of time and request a room close to the lake and on the second floor if possible! lake vi...

We bought an extra week through RCI to finish up a month long vacation. I called about the room before I booked it. Wanted a regular one bedroom and we were given a nice one bedroom "deluxe" unit. Was told these were the nicer units. The unit is good size with a lake view but has problems. Carpet has a rip in living room and is just dirty looking, washer has problems. The big whirlpool tub is nice, won't use it because the jets are dirty. The shower really needs a good cleaning, grout, corners of shower are terrible. The area is nice with lots to do but don't think I would stay here unless I could see the unit first. Oh, internet service is terrible.
