“small, but captures this part of Americana well”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

My husband and I enjoyed this, although Red Ryder was a bit before my time.

Fair bit of Harmon's art and memorabilia - cowboys and Indians, etc.

Will probably appeal most to those who grew up with that sort of thing.

“A Visit To History”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

In March I had the opportunity to meet and visit with Fred Harman III, the son. He was most engaging and I could life his life in the 1920s-30s growing up on the ranch. He told how it was a 5-day wagon trip to Durango for monthly supplies. When asked how it was, his reply was simply, "boring". The artifacts and his father's oils make the trip worthwhile.

“a small museum rich in western art and memorabilia”
Reviewed June 1, 2011

A small museum that was the home and studio of Fred Harman, the creator of Red Ryder and Little Beaver. The rooms are filled with paintings and sketches of the artist, plus other interesting artifacts. Harman was one of the original Cowboy Artist of America. According to one's interest, the tour is about one hour or less. definitely worthwhile.
