“Location, location, location”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

This place is right near the hot springs and all the tourist shops, so it naturally draws a crowd. Don't let the crowd fool you. The food is mediocre at best. If you're really starving, it'll do, but don't think that the crowd means the food is good. There are lots of tables, giving the small restaurant a very crowded feel even when it is not packed with people. We went during an "off" time, and it still felt like the place needed to be cleaned as so many other reviewers said. It felt dingy and neglected. On the positive side, though, if you just want a shake or a malt, this place does have good ones, and the sizes of the cups mean those of us watching our calories can still imbibe without feeling guilty.

“Funk & Junk!”
Reviewed July 13, 2012

We stopped in to get a sundae & a chocolate malt, when we walked in we were a little scared because of the funky, 'not-so-clean' feel but ordered anyway. While we waited it was hard not to notice how dirty everything seemed to be, the floors, tables and general sloppiness of the prep area. The employees seemed as though they didn't care we were there and made our items almost as if it was a burden to them. We got our order, got out of there quick and cautiously tried our goodies but there was nothing good about them. I love chocolate but my chocolate malt was so rich I couldn't drink it, my wifes sundae was served in a togo coke cup and she wasn't able to eat hers either. I'm all for local venues and supporting small business but this one should be avoided. It looks good from the outside but the funkiness of the inside, the attitude of the employees we encountered and the lack of care in the preparation and final product was too much. You would think a chocolate malt and a sundae would be hard to mess-up and easy money for them but even though we love coming to Pagosa, we will never, ever go back to that dingy, dirty establishment.

“Overpriced for frozen burgers. Tasteless ice cream. Dirty restrooms.”

Avoid. You will not find anything old fashioned about it. The service was awful.

“Good Quick”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

Found this to be ok for a quick bite but I sat outside since the tables inside were a bit funky. If they could clean up a bit it would be better.

“Largest Banana Split you will ever see!!”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

Our family of four ate there every day. One day was breakfast, another 2 days were dinner. Their ice cream treats are something to see! If you decide to have a banana split...you better have some friends along!!
