This hotel was very average for what I was expecting. The pool and tubs were by far the best part of the stay. The host Ryan could have been more professional and cordial, I kind of felt like I was putting him out when asking questions about billing, the town and places to eat. Probably will look for another place to stay next time.

Hello Roger!
Thank you for highlighting our Hot Springs we are working everyday to keep them working in tip top shape. As for the experience in the lobby you refer to, I apologize on behalf of any negative vibe you might have gotten from Ryan. We work together everyday to learn from how our demeanor and body language can effect an individuals experience. While you only see us once; we can see upwards of a thousand or more people per year. We can try to be on top of our game every time but we may mess up once or twice. I can tell you we will learn from it and try to prevent the same occurrence.
Best,
Twin Peaks Lodge and Hot Springs

We stayed here for 3 nights in February, and it was fantastic! The hotel was clean and quiet. The private hot springs were a great way to relax after a long day of ice climbing and the location is perfect for getting into town for dinner, or off to the ice park. The highlight of our trip was the daily breakfast. They have a fantastic hot breakfast, and Pam who runs the breakfast room was very friendly. She remembered our names and what we liked in our omelets. She really made it feel like home!

Wow! I will never stay anywhere else. The room was very clean and the 5 star bed and pillows were beyond my expectations. Breakfast was not only fantastic and homemade, but made a great place to share stores with the other lodgers. The view was breathtaking, walking distance to downtown and easy access to hiking. After a day of hard play, the mineral water was a night (and sometimes early morning) treat to top off the day. I was home away from home!

Room Tip: There is no bad view!

I have been coming to Ouray for years to stay at the Twin Peaks. They are the absolutely the BEST place to stay in Ouray. Newly remodeled rooms with comfy beds, awesome pool and hot springs tubs and delicious breakfast with a made to order omelet makes this place a great value. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, we always feel comfortable and hate to leave this hotel.

I cannot wait to come back and bring my friends,

Super location in one of the neatest small towns ever!!! We arrived on a gloriously sunny day, snow on the ground and our room ready and waiting. A motor lodge where you park outside the front of the two-story building, this southerner would have greatly appreciated a snow/ice cleared driveway and parking area but it was not too bad during the daylight - be careful at night! Our room was larger than most motor lodges, I would think, with a king bed, wardrobe, mini-fridge and coffee maker. There were two sink areas & a tub/shower so getting ready was not all shared space. The location is great and we walked to several area locations since the day temperatures were around 45 degrees! We loved Box Canyon Falls - but be careful as this park is not snow/ice cleared. The great restaurants and fun shops are all close by and we found everything pretty reasonably priced. Now...Three things about our room (the one on the far end nearest the breakfast building, ground floor), though. First has to be the noise from people above, the floor boards creak on the first floor and the second. Second, the walls are paper thin and we could hear every conversation from the room to our right, luckily, there was no room to our left! Third, our exterior door!!! This door had to be opened with a shoulder running push and slammed from within with extreme strength. It's warped or something and if you needed to exit this room quickly, well, only those in good shape and better strength could manage it. The bed was comfy and I really enjoyed the triple sheeting and down comforter. OH...the complimentary popcorn and hot beverage machine in the lobby was VERY nice throughout the stay.

So overall good but not perfect...we would stay here again...and use this room, but I would check the door operation first!

Room Tip: I think I'd choose upstairs room to avoid some noise and definitely request a corner room!

Hello!
Thank you for pointing out some of our best traits. We try hard everyday to make this hotel a place of comfort. Despite our appearance of modern features, the building and room in question are actually quite old. It was built in the early 1900's. With time the building settles and this causes door jams to move slightly out of place. We are able to fix that easily (and have by time this posts). We will accommodate anyone with solutions when presented with an issue. We don't want anything to be wrong with your stay. I urge you and future guests to notify the front desk of an issue immediately. This way we are able to correct and resolve a problem and prevent any negative experiences. Please definitely come see us again. We look forward to having you!
Best Wishes,
Twin Peaks Lodge and Hot Springs.
