We spent two nights at the Hot Springs Inn while traveling through Colorado on our Sept. trip. It was just as comfy and welcoming as everyone says on Tripadvisor. Nice western-style decor. Had two super comfortable king beds and a large room with small fridge, gas fireplace and balcony over the river. Wonderful to wake up and go to sleep to the sounds of rapids instead of a noisy air conditioner-although it is available if you need it! Nice continental breakfast and friendly happy travelers in the mornings. Staff was helpful and friendly also. A real deal for all you get. We couldn't have been happier!

We stayed at the Hot Springs Inn and it was wonderful. My husband didn't feel well and we asked the management if we could check- in way early so that he could lay down. They had the staff rush to get our room ready. The management was very nice and everything was clean and like new condition. The resort is only about 5 years old. You could open the large screen window and the bathroom window to let the fresh mountain air blow through the room and hear the gentle soothing roar of the river right outside the back boucany. Best of all were the King beds with cloud nine mattresses. The best sleep we have ever had away from home. The room price included a nice breakfast too.

My wife and I stayed at the Hot Springs Inn, Ouray for 6 days in September 2010. We were very pleasantly surprised by the large size of the room, with two very comfortable beds and a sitting area, with a small balcony overlooking the river at the back. The furnishings were of very good quality. Whilst there is no restaurant, a continental buffet was provided every morning when we were able to talk to the other guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cost was reasonable. Very close to the hot springs and far enough out of Ouray for peace and quiet, and ideal for families. Two large hot tubs. A very good hotel indeed, and we would definitely stay there again should we be in the area.

The Hot Springs Inn is wonderful. It makes a refreshing change from the chain hotels. The rooms are spacious and each one faces the river and either has a balcony or patio. Every room has two king beds which are so comfortable it felt as if I was sleeping on a giant marshmallow. These beds are so high that a step is provided for the vertically challenged!

The decor is a bit quirky - cowboys hold up the towel rails and a boot is stuck to the wall of the bedroom with flowers in it.

The washbasin is in the room, separate from the shower and toilet.

The bedcovers are bright and make a change from the usual blandness you get in chain hotels. Rooms feel warm and inviting. There is a modern fireplace, fridge, microwave and internet access. There are two armchairs and a small table. Chairs are also out on the balcony and each room has a safe. There are two hot tubs and a guest laundry.

The breakfast area is on the small size and the choice was narrow but coffee was freely available all day.

Doors to the rooms are on the outside. I didn't see an elevator (there may be one somewhere) so less able guests might find it difficult to access the rooms or carry heavy suitcases upstairs. There are two or three steps up to the ground floor rooms and two flights to the floor above.

I found the light at night coming through the glass pannelled door from the outside passageway annoying (there was a curtain but this didn't shut out much light) but I like to sleep in total darkness. This may not be a problem for everyone.

The staff were really chatty and friendly and recommended places to eat (and avoid) in Ouray. We ate in The Outlaw restaurant - a great choice.

Came in after a soggy ride on the motorcycle. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, each has a riverside view and porch, and not your typical roadside rest. Interesting deco (electric fireplace, track lighting etc). Not exactly my style, but a neat place, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and again, the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Even if the place had been a dive (and it definitely isn't) the staff would have rated this place 5 stars!
