“Very interesting building and story of owner”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

Not to be missed. Owner has a dream and has built his building in the middle of historical buildings. His store resembles a Greek Orthodox church in Kodiak Alaska! The 3rd floor will be a pent house, the second a private residence and the street level a pharmacy. The museum is ready for viewing.

“Awesome Collection!”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

It is evident that the Ouray Alchemist Museum was borne of the life-long passion of it's proprieter, Curt. Containing an astonishing array of significant historical artifacts, the museum is a beautiful re-creation of the pharmacies of yore. Curt is a wealth of information and conducts an entertaining and interesting tour. We honestly could have lingered hours beyond the tour completion time as there were so many unusual things to see. Be sure to check out the jewelry and art boutique on your way out!

“Interesting”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

Very detailed and interesting esoterica about early medicine and pharmacology - specific to Colorado and even more specific to the Western slope. The Pharmacist is very knowledgable and passionate which made it a very nice respite!
