Service was excellent .The steak melted in your melt. No need for a knife. Would drive the 4 hours from our hometown , just to eat there again.

We had a great meal here. The meal was cooked to perfection and there were lots of local choices, such a Rocky Mountain trout. The staff were brilliant, as they had expected a quiet evening, but we're, in fact, rushed off their feet! However, Dusty and Dennis could not have done more to make us feel welcome and to bring us our food quickly and cheerfully. The hotel in which it is situated is a masterpiece of restoration and you should take time to go and look at the entrance hall and the grand staircase. A wonderful experience.

I make it a habit to drive through a town on the way in, locating the restaurant with the atmosphere I like, scoping out the territory. Driving through Ouraymy eye was drawn to the Beaumont Grill. "That's where I want to eat." I had driven 11 hours straight and wanted a great meal.

The outside dining is to die for! Lots of privacy, multiple levels, heaters if needed, and a great view of the mountains. The menu offered a good variety or food, and some great wines. But the best part was tied between the perfectly prepared food by Chef Curtis Blanton. I had a 12 oz ribeye, cooked to perfection, loaded with flavor and garnished with mushroom risotto...perfectly plated with veggies. The staff was exceptional and the owners, Chad and Jennifer, were delightful.

How could it have gotten any better? Imagine several petite, Rhubarb/Fuji Empanadas lightly slathered with a creme sauce and a drizzle of fresh berry with a delicious berry reduction...what a meal.... Stop by and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

We were traveling through southwestern Colorado tracing a trip we took 35 years ago. One stop was the little town of Ouray close to the spectacular San Juan mountain range. What an unexpected surprise was the Beaumont Grill. Chef Curtis has been there for only 9 months but has revitalized the old Ore Restaurant with a new menu.

We started out with the Brie appetizer. The Brie was deep fried and the baked to give a great crunchy and slightly sweet coating. Served with crusty French baguette and tart apple slices, it was a delicious palate pleaser. We enjoyed this with a very pleasing and reasonably priced Pinot Gris wine. My husband and I rarely get the same entree so that we can taste more dishes. However, we both chose the trout served with a pineapple salsa and accompanied with grilled zucchini spears, couscous, and fresh greens with a touch of balsamic vinegar. It was a lovely combination of flavors. We had to pass on dessert but hope they don't run out of the special as we fully intend to go back tomorrow. It was too good to pass up another chance at a delightful dinner before moving on to our next stop.

Beaumont was recommended by a few people so we tried it and loved it. The chef, CRaig, came out to talk with us, and wow, what a talented cook he is. I had the roast chicken with mushroom risotto and it was to die for.
