I don't know if it was of day but it took us 1 1/2 hours to get a burger and a beer. The wait staff was extremely slow and lacked any personality at all. It has been over 20 years since I gave someone such a horrible tip.

We came here twice. First, we had a drink in the bar. It's a classic old western bar--full of history and charming. The next day, we went back to the restaurant. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the beauty of the surrounding mountains. The food and service were both excellent and the prices were affordable. Wonderful old historic place with modern quality!

We sat out back on the deck and the view was ok. Our server was fabulous and from Switzerland and she was not too busy so had time to chat with us a bit. The food was excellent and not too pricey. They have a big menu with lots of food and beer choices. I had the mediterranean chicken wrap which was delicious.

The restaurant does not officially open to the public unroll next week but we went to a graduation party this evening. Rose the owner and chef put on a fantastic spread.

The monte Vista Room is a wonderful venue for a reception. It's an 1890's dinning room complete with tin Celling.

The Buffett had BBQ, pesto pasta, greek salad, hot veggie dish, cold cuts and cheese w/ crackers.

There was wine, beer, pop and lemonade.

Across the room was a dessert bar with outstanding coffee.

Next week I am planning a pizza party for my crew. Always greT pizza.

Check out the face on the barroom floor! Enjoy the view from the outdoor patio. Drinks and appetizers with a mountain view.
