Decent food at a fair price but the big draw is the character of the building. Plenty to items to keep you occupied while wating for your order. We had an early dinner of soup and salad after a jeep tour. It is true there are a few flies due to the open door policy but to me they only added to the authenticity of the establishment.

Great pizza and wings! Old time atmosphere with period floors and ceilings. Tourist tried to rent my custom Jeep outside.

We visited the historic bar during the day, which is well worth seeing as alot of the original pictures and features are still there and decided to try the evening menu.

We returned in the evening and the bar is then alot more atmospheric, with friendly staff and locals. Food is fabulous, and our night was even better with we got talking to locals and other visitors giving us great advice of what and what not to do.

Definitely worth a visit (as the dessert menu is also delicious)

We had just finished a jeep tour with San Juan Jeep Tours who shares the building. Tired, dusty and hungry, -- the aroma of home cooking wafting out to the street -- we just went in and sat down. Quite a collection of offerings on the menu! Trout, steaks, greek lamb, pizza, sandwiches -- whatever you want, they have. You kind of feel like you have stepped back into the late 1800s Ouray -- the decoration, the bar, the furniture in this old historic hotel. Very cool! Dinner was delicious (Greek lamb in a pita and a mediterranean pizza), although we should have chosen a different dessert. The creme brulee was not the best.

All in all, a great meal.

On the recommendation of the Victorian Inn, I chose to host our family reunion dinner for 24 here. The owner was very helpful with choosing a menu and customizing our food to meet special needs due to allergies and ages (15 mos to 69 yrs). We decided to give our party 3 entrees to choose from: salmon, prime rib, lasagna. Everyone was very happy with the food. The salmon dinner which I had was great. The service was good, and everyone was served in a timely manner, given the size of our group & the staff available. We enjoyed the evening.
