The owners were very congenial, accommodating, and helpful with recommendations . The location of the hotel was perfect for access to hiking trails and walking the dog. We enjoyed beautiful views from our room.

We decided to take our two small dogs this go around so they wouldn't have to stay in a kennel. Upon arriving we were presented a pet policy that included items such as having to take our dogs everywhere we went and couldn't leave them in the room. They couldn't get on the bed, chairs or any other items. The had no place for them to potty so they had to use the rocks. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way and could be pushed open, No A/C was uncomfortable until later in the evening. We used a bank card because we don't use credit cards, the Inn authorized it for $100 more than what the charges would be due to it being a bank card. I have been in business for a long time and am a Accountant by trade and a bank card is the same as a credit card when they hold the Visa or Master Card Logo. Just wasn't the best experience!

My wife and I have three young children and we wanted to stay in one hotel room that was big enough and comfortable enough for us all. We're on a tight budget so price was important to us. The Victorian Inn has several family suite rooms and we were highly satisfied with our stay, which also included a very good breakfast. This hotel is under great management. I personally visited with one of the owners during my stay. They provide a great product at a great price and it was clear that it is important to them that their customers become repeat customers. I highly recommend this hotel for people who care about a great balance between price and quality.

Seven fabulous days at the Victorian Inn in Ouray. I can't say enough about the room, location, and staff! This is an excellent spot if you're looking for a mountain vacation retreat... You will not be disappointed when choosing the Victorian Inn. Our family enjoyed every minute with the river behind the Inn and Box Canyon just above. The experience was very peaceful and serene just to get away from every day grind. Owners Jan and Bill catered to our every need and the Inn is within walking distance to town.

My wife and I found the Ouray Victorian Inn to be quite charming.Jan and Brian are very nice people and eager to accomodate their guests.Best of all ,we could take Bella (our 4lb. chihuahua) with us. The pet rooms are very clean and inviting. The most attractive amenitiesof the Inn is the Uncompaghre River and the majestic "Alp-like" mountains that surround this tiny community named after an indian chief. We have been through Ouray many times but this is the first time we stayed overnight. There are many things to do within walking distance. The downtown shops and restaurants and Box Canyon Falls just to name a few.For a short drive(1/4 mile) up from the shops there are nice hiking trails.Located 1/4 mile up from the parking area is the beautiful Cascade Falls.I'm 52 years of age and in fair shape. If I can make the trek up, most anyone can. After a day of walking and hiking the Victorian Inn's hot tubs(yes 2)brought most welcome relief. While soaking and relaxing we were able to bask in our charming and majestic surroundings of stream and mountains. For us, there is no greater way to relieve the stress associated with day to day living. Ouray can truly be defined as God's Majesty made manifest.

We stayed in one of the townhouses this month. The accomodations met our needs in every way. The townhouse were clean and had every amenity we could ask for and were updated. The manager was gracious and very accomodating. Our only disappointment was that the continental breakfast served in the hotel was not available to condo guests. We liked the proximity to the Box Canyon falls, easy enough for hiking, and the Old Twin Peaks hike was just a short walk from the hotel grounds. The only negatives (if you call them so) were the views from the condo were so-so, grounds in that area could use a manicure, and there is a lot of bright light the enters through the window blinds at night.

The hotel is charming, beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Mostt of all I wanted to say the owners were very nice, In fact, we had a clothing incident and spilled on a new sweatshirt and the owner offered to wash in her own washer for us. We also had a sudden change of plans and the owner worked with us on leaving early :)

Thanks for a great stay!
