We sat outdoors. Wait staff was ok but the owner was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The mushrooms in reduced balsamic over linguini was excellent, and the chicken dish was tender and fresh. We would go back there whenever we're in that area.

We visit the Boulder area several times a year and have gotten in the habit of staying at the Niwot Inn, which is lovely, but mostly so we can have dinner at Treppeda's in the evening. We enjoy the food, the wine, the presentation and the fact that Howard Treppeda always remembers us!

Several friends had dinner here after a weekend event in Boulder. Very pleasant. Food was quite good, service was attentive but not overbearing. Several of us are vegetarian and there were plenty of good options for us on the menu. Nice wine list. Eclectic desserts.

Situated in small town Niwot, this place is an Italian gem. The prices were reasonable. I was surprised by some of the other reviews. Perhaps the new general manager, Kent, is responsible for what appears to be great improvements. Locally sourced food and spirits are their new focus. We arrived for dinner on a slow Monday and were seated in the small dining room that serves as a true Italian deli by day for lunch. We imbibed in a local gin and a local coffee liqueur. Our entrees and desserts were shared with the five of us. Highlights included a fresh squash salad on local beets, an Ahi tuna wrap that was not wrap-like at all, prosciutto mashed potatoes, short ribs, and baked chicken. We felt like we were in Italy. One person in our party was very disappointed that they were out of sea bass which is his favorite dish. Fresh bread and attentive service were plentiful. The deserts did not disappoint. A chocolate salami (not really salami) was unique and flavorful while the blueberry lemon house made sorbet was the favorite.

My husband and I recently was staying at the Niwot Inn, which is literally next door to Treppeda's and decided since we were so close to dine there.

It is a small place, which has a small but very cute patio in front of the restaurant which faces the street.

I ordered the Bolognese with Penne Pasta and Hubby ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza, which was not on the menu but the restaurant gladly prepared without question, which was nice. They have a nice wine list as well. The food was fine, not the most outstanding Italian we have ever eaten, but certainly good, and the price was reasonable.
I really liked the patio and had a nice time. Would absolutely return.
