“Great Patio”

Interesting menu. Fantastic view when dining on the patio. The black bean stuffed egg roll type delicacy was unique.

“Nice view, decent food”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

Nice surprise for a tourist attraction. Good sandwiches and great fries. Didn't get our drinks refilled, and was a little slow, but still enjoyed it.

Just be careful if it's a concert day - they'll force you out with no warning and you'll go through a lot of aggravation to get to your car.

“Not worth the price”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

We had an extraordinarily average meal here. I had the buffalo tamales, and they were dry and didn't taste like there had been any preparation for the meat except to cook it. The white wine I ordered was served in a plastic cup (probably safety reasons for the concert), but was room temperature. The service was slow (our waitress was nice, but blamed our order being put in after a large table...uh...almost everyone had reservations for the same time as we were all going to the same show and the restaurant isn't that big so...) and we finished just in time to get to our seats prior to the start time (7:30) even though we had 6:00 reservations. When i made the reservation, the girl said to park in the upper north lot, which seemed to cause a lot of confusion on the part of the parking attendants. And while the lot was nice - as in not having to trudge up that hill to get to the venue - I believe they emptied the entire lower lot first after the show as we just sat there with no one moving for at least 20 minutes or more. All in all, a beautiful view, but average food. If you feel you must eat here for the ambiance, do it at lunch when there's no show. Maybe a burger and fries would have more flavor.

“STAY AWAY!!!”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

Well, to anyone who has never been and planning a wonderful evening enjoying dinner before a concert, THINK AGAIN! On my first visit from out of state, I bought tickets to the concert, then made reservations at the Grille, so the whole evening would be amazing. Boy, was I surprised (and not in a good way) about the entire thing. I received an email confirmation from a manager at the Grille for dinner reservations...no details included. Upon arrival at Red Rocks, the confusion began, and just got worse and worse. After parking in a ditch, then wandering for 30 minutes trying to find the Grille, we finally found an entrance gate with park personnel there. I told them we had dinner reservations, and the rude lady said "get in line". Well there were about 300 people already in line for the concert. While standing in line, we found many other people who also had dinner reservations. we all went back up to the gate and told them, and they kept saying it didn't matter if we had reservations or not, we had to get in line with all the concert people to wait, even though it would be well after our reservations for dinner before we got in. I then called the restaurant and made my way through dozens of prompts before getting a nasty girl by the name of Jenna on the phone. She then said just tell them at the gate we had reservations and what time they were, and they would let us in. We did so and the rude lady again told us to get back in line. Now even farther back in line and already 15 minutes past our reservation time, I called again and spoke with a nasty manager there who said that we get in when they let everyone in, regardless of reservations or time we had them for, and could have cared less if we ever got in and then hung up. Well, 45 minutes after our dinner reservation, we got through the gate finally. When arriving at the restaurant, we were shocked to find that it wasn't really a restaurant at all, just a large event room with large banquet tables covered with cheap tablecloths and uncomfortable wedding reception chairs!!!! what a let-down. There was a huge beautiful patio outside the windows overlooking the mountains, but they don't seat people out there??!!! The only saving grace was our sweet server named Laura. She was amazing and kept apologizing for everything, even though she didn't have anything to do with it and that would have been the manager's job if he was competent, which he obviously wasn't. The food was bland and overpriced, and by the time we got the food and ate, we missed almost 40 minutes of the concert. All in all, I would say to STAY AWAY FROM THIS "RESTAURANT" AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! Eat before you come and make sure to come early regardless if you have general admission or assigned seats.

The meal here was a great surprise. What a fantastic meal with wonderful views. Just a unique experience all round and one of the best meals we had in the week tour of Colorado. :)
