Along with a concert at Red Rocks, we looked for a restaurant to celebrate our Anniversary and The Fort perfectly fit the bill.
The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient.
The dinner was cooked to order and was splendid. I had the Buffalo Tenderloin Filet Mignon and my wife had the Herb Butter Buffalo Tenderloin Filet Mignon. Both were delicious.
There is an outdoor patio with a view that was perfect for sitting after dinner as the sun set.
Highly recommend The Fort for a special occasion.

We went to dinner at the Fort, after it was recommended to us. The venue itself was very nice. Unfortunately, our dining experience was not wonderful. My wife ordered surf and turf - shrimp and buffalo. I order the elk, buffalo and quail plate. We both ordered medium rare. My wife’s buffalo came back back as medium, which was palatable but the shrimp came back burnt. We did send the shrimp back and the new ones were awesome. My elk had to be sent back because it was well done. The replacement was incredible. My quail and buffalo were also done just right. When we wrapped up the night they boxed up some that we did not finish along with the burnt quail and overdone elk. Not really sure why they would do that. The half price wine special was also great. We were going to add on a gift card for our son and his fiancé, but after our experience, we decided not to.

We walked around a bit before dinner, took some pictures, went in the tee pee and sat by the fire outside. In the back, there are some really comfy couches you can chill out on. We ordered the sausage platter and bacon wrapped quail eggs for appetizers. The sausage was buffalo, elk and rabbit I believe. The sausage was good but a quail egg must be about a half an inch so that was quite comical. I got the 16 ounce NY strip and it was cooked medium and I would give it an 8/10. What you would expect but not the best. I ate some of my wife’s buffalo ribs and pork ribs as she got the special. They were tasty. Buffalo ribs are huge so she got 2 and the pork ribs were really good. The pumpkin bread was like a dessert that we got before dinner. There was other bread but the pumpkin was awesome. I probably had 5 of those. The home pie was blueberry I think and really good with vanilla ice cream. It was a great experience and very nice. It was about 75-100 a person after all was said and done. Oh, we got 2 pitchers of prickly pear margaritas too. It seemed better that way as a pitcher was 21 bucks and got you 4 and it was 8 bucks a single drink. You got to go! Great experience.

Very nice location and views were great. Service was great and food was cocked as requested. Would visit again and worth checking out if you have never been.

REALLY wished they opened earlier, especially for kids and older folks who don't want to be out late. Ambience is cool.
