Stopped here after a visit to dinosaur ridge just down the road. I highly recommend combining the two attractions-you can see actual tracks in the rocks and then learn more about the dinosaurs at the museum. It was so touching to see actual baby stegosaurus tracks the size of a quarter. (Did you know they started out weighing app 6 lbs and grew to weigh 12 TONS?!). The best part of the museum was the director, Matt, who ended up giving us a private non-tour tour. He was just kind of "there" whenever we had questions. And believe me, we had plenty. He was so patient and knowledgeable. Nothing was off limits both in terms of touching and teaching. His passion is infectious. This museum is not just for kids. Highly recommended!

Asked about visiting dinosaur ridge and was told about this Museum. It is excellent and you are allowed to touch many of the exhibits. Two floors of fun - and we received a guided tour by one of the young men working there. He was very knowledgeable and really into dinosaur.
A must see - at Southern end of Lariatt Loop - just up the road from main drive in the Town of Morrison.

My family stopped by here wanting to ask if we could drive to Dinosaur Ridge. It was towards the end of a cold and snowy day in October, and we didn't really want to hike. We walked in and were immediately taken aback at the displays. Our kids, 5 and 7, were able to touch everything. We were encouraged to 'feel this fossil' or 'touch this footprint.' We wandered upstairs to find an actual working ball and socket Triceratops head. Totally cool. This place is well worth the admission price and more. My kids got to help chip away at an actual dinosaur fossil! We cannot wait to go back!!

Learned more about dinosaurs in this museum than visits to much larger places. Zachary did a fantastic job in explaining things and his enthusiasm was contagious. Don't rush through this place ... take time to touch things, to ask questions, to study up close. Great photo opps. Much more to do for the younger kids, including digging for bones and watching live reptiles.

This wonderful museum has loads of unique bones and fossils. The docents do a wonderful job explaining each artifact and explaining the importance of Morrison in the history of dinosaurs.
