A great longtime local favorite, the menu here is always interesting, with great daily specials, delightful and unusual desserts., Food is attractive on the plate and creative with lots of homemade items such as unusual salad dressings and breads all yummy. Service can be a little slow but atmosphere pleasant and chummy,

This was our second trip to Montrose and the near-by Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Several years ago this was a different restaurant, and not a very good one at that. However, I am very happy to report that the Camp Robber is a really great place to eat! Their menu runs the gamut from Mexican through seafood to steaks. Prices are fair & reasonable, service is good, food is very tasty, there is not a lot more you could ask for!

This place has delicious food and from 6-8p.m. on some nights music. Guests can dance, listen to live music and enjoy a great dinner all at the same time! Family friendly and very affordable you should eat here while visiting Montrose, CO.

I know this is typically regarded as one of the "nice" places in town, but Camp Robber really strikes me as having a pretty building full of mediocre service and food. I appreciate their selection of Colorado craft beers, but at our most recent visit our beers were served literally ice cold--chunks of slush in them. If I wanted a freezing drink that didn't taste like anything, I could have ordered a much cheaper Bud Light. For the food, it's not bad, but it isn't worth what the prices are. Serving sizes are sufficient, but preparation is inconsistent (2 steaks ordered medium-rare, one arriving visibly more cooked than the other, etc.). Also, if you're working with a time-crunch, don't even try it. Three attempts at lunch all took a minimum of an hour with average crowd sizes. If you want fairly priced food and good service, look elsewhere.

I love interesting food! The offerings here represent the best things in a Colorado restaurant: fresh, interesting combinations with lovely (but not pretentious) presentation. Check out the online menu and your mouth will water! The desserts here are astounding. Try the peanut butter pie or the brandy Alexander pie. Decadent and delightful! I look forward to a return trip!
