“Old West Charm with Great Food”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

The Meeker Cafe is like stepping back in time but with great food. Passing through the town we got a recommendation from a local on good place to chow down. He was right Meeker Cafe, nice place with friendly staff and good food. We had the avocado aspen wrap which was packed with flavor and soup. Our server was Roberta who made sure our drinks were topped off and everything was ok. Once you finish the meal take time to walk into the hotel to look at the decor and photos. This will give you a good feeling for how it was in the past. Next walk across the street to the front of the court house to view the new Memorial. What a great job they have done to honor the service men of the area.

“Good food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Great old building. Friendly staff. Really good chicken fried steak! We took 8 people to dinner and there was lots of space ... And the bill did not break the pocketbook. We will go back when we are in Meeker.

“Time to give up.”
Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

I've been to this resturaunt many times and I just need to stop kidding myself that anything will ever change. In the week I've been there twice, they apparently just went through a renovation but I didn't notice anything different.

Today we went and there weren't that many people yet we had to wait 55 minutes for our food to arrive - we had one cheeseburger and the rest consisted of food prepared cold. When we asked the waitress (which I must add was extremely nice and I feel bad that the kitchen and manager aren't living up to their positions) about the food she was going to check on it. Another waitress arrived and said, "I'm sorry the kitchen is having problems with folding the wraps today." WHAT?!? Well our food arrived moments later and the cheeseburger and fries were cold and the wraps were falling apart.

A group sat behind us and the waitress served their drinks in styrofoam cups saying, "I'm sorry we ran out of regular glasses." WHAT?!? The place wasn't even 30% full, does your manager not know how a dishwasher works?

I understand that if you are a visitor the building and history therein is amazing but if you want to dine there, plan an hour and a half at least and please go in with low expectations.

So disappointing that Meeker doesn't have a good American resturaunt on the weekend.

“bland and boring”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

The food was not good, the service was iffy, and it was just plain cold in there. The breakfast service was actually worse than the dinner.
