“Hungarian favorites!”

We were surprised to see Hungarian dishes on the menu, and both enjoyed the cabbage rolls. Also had a variety of beers to choose from.

“Polish food was treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

First of all, if Trip Advisor still says this place is French, they are WRONG. PJ's features a mixture of typical American and Italian food, but more importantly, has a strong selection of Polish food. The chefs are Polish immigrants, and their heritage shows in the Polish dishes. I had the assortment of three types of perogi, (meat, cheese, potato), all delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his hunter's stew. The staff was very friendly. They also had a good assortment of beers.

“Outstanding food overcomes "rustic" venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

Wed. Sept 4, 2013. Visited Manitou Springs and staying down the road at the Avenue Hotel B&B. They recommended PJs so we tried it for dinner. The bar-like feel might turn you away, but please try this place. Not much to look at from the inside although the porch dining overlooking the main street in Manitou is fun. Exceptionally attentive and friendly wait staff. We ordered the Hungarian Goulash and the Paprika chicken. Goulash ($14) was simply amazing, best I've ever had. Good portion, good price, flavors bursting with seasoning and served over a crisp potato pancake. Loved it!! Chicken paprika ($14) also excellent although the potato dumplings overshadowed the meat in potions. Shared split pea soup - good, but lacked seasoning. We are in out 50s so we've been to a lot of restaurants. We will definitely come back to PJs. Waiter also recommended beef stroganoff which we are anxious to try.

“Average food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

Tables are packed together. Cole slaw was weird and homemade pasta tasted like store bought. Nothing special about my sandwich, pulled pork sandwich was bland and almost uneatable. Would not go there again.

“Delicious authentic Polish food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

We had a relaxing lunch on the porch at PJ's and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the view! We had pierogis like mom makes and a mushroom potato dumpling dish with hearty, complex flavors. Absolutely delicious food!!
