Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast

This is a very charming b&b located in downtown Manitou Springs. We had the "It's a date night" package and we stayed in the Osage room. The package was great... The room was nice. The bathroom was horrible... (There is no door to the bathroom and it is right next to the bed). If I was to go back I would pick a different room to stay in.
Breakfast was yummy
The owners were friendly and helpful
They had a great selection of movies to choose from
Overall we had a great time.

Room Tip: Don't pick the Osage room

We are happy to know you enjoyed the " It's a Date Night" package just one of several packages we offer that can be added to your stay. Our historic inn built in 1886 has 7 different rooms guests can choose from, all pictured and described on our website. We try to offer a bit of old world charm with the modern amenities, the HDTV with DVD player and free movies and free WIFI . Thank you for staying with us and we will look forward to seeing you again as you enjoy another scrumptious breakfast.

Rooms are spacious, charming and all details have been taken care of for you. A gourmet breakfast is included (via the owner, host and wonderful cook-Ms. Gwen David), which makes the cost of staying at the Avenue a bargain in comparison to other options around (the Cliff House, etc). She and Randy do such a professional job of making you feel welcome and "at home."

The house and grounds were charming with lots of nice light and pleasant sounds (wind chimes out front). Plus, it's a fantastic location for putting around Manitou on foot.

We hope to come back to visit and will send our friends and family there whenever possible.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Ruxton Room and liked this one and the Osage Room the best of them all (in the main...

Thank you for such a wonderful review we love to hear how that you enjoyed your stay. Preparing breakfast in the morning is one of the things I enjoy most. I am always thrilled to know that guests really think it's great. This historic B&B does have a terrific location in the downtown area making it an easy walk to the shops and eateries. Thank you again for the nice review and we look forward to seeing you all again!

This is pretty much the best place to spend the night in Manitou Springs. ..ok, the Cliff House is better but at a third the price the Avenue is a bit more attainable for most. Everything was lovely but I think the best part of the stay was the breakfast: Creme Brule' French Toast with Drunken Strawberries. delicious.

Thanks Randy and Gwen for another fabulous stay! We always enjoy staying with you. Rooms are always excellent, and Breakfast delightful! We love to come stay with you and will do so again soon. Gwen knows I am always cold, so she had the fireplace going and the room nice and toasty when we checked in. Just one of the many nice little touches that you don't find many places.

We have traveled to Manitou Springs and stayed in several different places around town, but this is by FAR the best experience we've ever had. The hotel is AMAZING and furnished to a T. The rooms are large, comfortable and well provisioned. The owners are the nicest people you could ever meet. But the BREAKFAST was the topper. Bananas Foster. My mouth is watering as I type! Avenue Hotel will certainly be our 1st choice for lodging from now on!

Room Tip: Choose a room in the front of the house. The windows look straight down on Manitou Avenue. It was de...

We arrived early but Gwen let us in straight away. Our bedroom which was very comfortable had an annex room so it was like two rooms, with a beautiful view overlooking the main street. Breakfast which was great was served on the veranda which was about 50 feet above street level so provided a lovely view of life passing by.Downstairs the rooms were very large and well decorated where one could just sit and relax or borrow one of the many dvd's available.Manitou Springs also turned out to be a gem worth visiting.

Well appointed and very clean room, fantastic breakfast (pecan-crusted French toast!), and a location that can't be beat! Came home very well-rested (and a little sad to be gone so soon). We will continue to return and thanks again for another great weekend getaway

Room Tip: The Ruxton room is lovely with, lots of sunshine, dark wood paneling for a more masculine feel, and...
