Enjoyed every aspect of our recent stay at Avenue...location couldn't be better...mins from CogWheel Railway to top of Pikes Peak....mins to Garden of the Gods......welcomed with wine...breakfasts wonderul..... home cooked breakfast casseroles that were delicious.....lovely to sit around breakfast table and meet other travellers...so much nicer than a hotel...rates were reasonable and although we only booked for one night ended up staying a second night

Room Tip: Can't remember

Gwen and Randy made us feel like we were their personal guests. Warm cookies, fabulous muffins, happy hour, only begin to describe the friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Avenue. The location is a plus because it's fun to be able to walk to shops and restaurants.

We first stayed at The Avenue B&B four years ago and remembering the welcome and friendly stay and very good value decided to stay again after our holiday in Colorado before returning to the UK. Yet again we enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was enough to keep us going all day! The atmosphere is homely, the complementary wine and cookies very welcome and rooms most comfortable. The town is within easy walking distance and even attractions such as the Cog Railway are only 20 minutes brisk walk away.
The main breakfast is served at 9o'clock which makes for a very relaxed start to the day and with the guests all eating together makes for interesting conversation. You can of course have an earlier breakfast if required!

My husband and I stayed here 2 weeks ago and Yes, all the great reviews are true.We stayed 2 nights but of course there is so much to do you could easily stay longer. I think the rooms on the 2nd floor are best but all the rooms have a comfortable and relaxing decor . We set our alarm early one morning to see the bear in the neighbors garbage.Watched and waited and fell back to sleep to wake and hour later to see that the bear had been. They'll probably be heading off to sleep for the winter now, maybe next time. Enjoy your stay and the yummy food !

Room Tip: I thought the 2nd floor but Glenda and the web site will help you.

Very welcoming B & B!! We recently stayed here and absolutely loved it! The hosts were very gracious to allow us to stay just one night since we were only in the area a short time. We were leaving early in the morning to ride the Cog Railway up Pike's Peak, and Gwenn was happy to still serve us delicious muffins, fresh fruit , juice and coffee before we left. There are cozy sitting areas both inside and outside...we sat outside on the front porch drinking the complimentary wine and enjoyed watching the people bustling about on the street below. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. We hope to come back soon and stay longer!

Room Tip: We were on the top floor, so there were alot of stairs to climb, but no big deal for us. We had a ba...

If you're looking for a comfortable and friendly atmosphere within a short distance of the many Pike's Peak attractions, this is it! Gwen and Randy are gracious and helpful hosts. We enjoyed sitting inside and out, eating wonderful breakfasts on the porch, and the comfy rooms.

We stayed for 2 nights in August. It is a great location and has a wonderful helpful staff. The room was relaxing and the public spaces provided us with places to relax and talk to the other guests. We would highly recommend this B&B to others as it is a fine example of a great one!
