“My all time favorite now for special occasions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2009

This was the first time I have eaten at the Craftwood Inn and HIGHLY recommend the Craftwood. I will say this though. If you look at the menu and see some of the prices you might have some sticker shock but let me tell you. For the money you get a LOT of food on your plate and it is absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and tender and cooked so well with great flavor. If you really want to be a penny pincher I would recommend checking the website for any coupons they might have. We found a great one and were very very please with everything. Again HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.

“What a great view!”

Every thing is thought of for Colorado Cuisine here. Be sure you don't over cook your steak, it seems wild game might cook faster than regular game.

“Sublime Celebrations”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2008

Craftwood Inn is our destination when we have something, *anything*, to celebrate. Memorable family birthdays, visits with friends who have traveled from afar, and yearly holidays are spent in the cozy Board Dining Room, a private dining area for just twelve or fewer diners. A dreamy view of Pikes Peak is to the West, and it's a quiet pleasure to watch the sun set slowly over the mountain. Our favorite entrees are the trio of game birds, wild boar, and the most succulent beef filet in the entire West. The same care and inventiveness shown by the chef in preparation of dinner is reflected in Craftwood's dessert menu: Chocolate Paradise and Jalpeno White Choclate Mousse are irresistible ways to end a meal beyond description. On a scale of ten, Craftwood Inn is a thirteen!

“Love the Craftwood!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2008

This is one of my favorite special-occasion restaurants in the Springs, and we just had an excuse to go a couple weeks ago. Yes, it's expensive. Their focus is meat and game. The food is also top-notch, with a nice wine list, and a gorgeous location. I can honestly say that there is nothing I've ever had there that wasn't excellent. The stand-outs from our recent visit - the Crab and Artichoke Bisque, the Macadamia Crust Ostrich in Lingonberry Chutney, and the Jalapeno-White Chocolate Mousse. Yum. The service is friendly and attentive without being pushy or stuffy.

There is an outside deck (make reservations!) in the summer, but the inside is cozy and gorgeous, with a series of little rooms, so you never feel surrounded by crowds of people.

If you're a vegetarian or a non-meat-lover, you won't have many choices. But if you're looking for something a little different and have time and money for a great dinner, check them out.

“Wonderful!”

Really nice. Enjoyed our 18th anniversary there. Sat on the patio enjoying the flowers and beautiful Manitou Springs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was wonderful. Drinks were great also. Can't wait to go back!
