Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Discovered in 1881, Cave of the Winds has been a premier Colorado attraction for more than a century. Explore amazing caverns, experience total cave darkness, and marvel at the beauty of formations hundreds of thousands of years old. Then step outside and walk on the wind on the Wind Walker Challenge Course, fly like a bat on the Bat-a-Pult Zip Line, and dive into Williams Canyon on the one of a kind aerial dive ride, the TERROR-Dactyl. Lots of family fun, amazing views and memories to last a lifetime!

“Not safe and not interesting”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014

This tour is dangerous, difficult and expensive. They do not adequately describe the trail inside the cave: steep, unpaved walkways, unsteady and steep staircases, inadequate lighting throughout the tour. Sturdy shoes are recommended but should be required. Very sad to see that this cave is not being taken care of but used solely for the purpose of making money. no conservation efforts at all.

“Fun time for the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014

Yesterday we went on the Lantern Tour at Cave of the Winds and we had a blast. Our tour guide, Chris, was very infomative and quite funny. The lanterns were buckets with kerosene flames and it definitely made the journey more exciting. There are several small passage ways that you must duck through but we made it through with no problems. I would definitely recommend this attraction!

“Fun times at cave if the winds”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2014 via mobile

My family and I had a great time here. We went on the lantern tour it was very interesting listening to the stories of how the cave was discovered. It does involve bending and squatting in order to maneuver through some tight spaces and tunnels. Definitely not for the claustrophobic, the lantern tour has no artificial light besides the candlelight lantern in your hand. Andy was our tour guide and he did an excellent job. I would highly recommend visiting the cave of the winds. We had a great time
