“Good food but expensive”
Reviewed August 9, 2010

Millwood Junction is a very nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The menu is huge and the ambience is wonderful. However, the food is pricey and the staff are not very attentive. If I were to visit Mancos again, I would probably eat at the pizza parlor inside the local grocery store.

“Not bad for the area”
Reviewed July 17, 2010

Not bad for the area. A bit over priced and the services is so so. When you are hungry and you are in Mancos this is the place.

“Great location - pitiful food. Go down the road to Cortes.”
Reviewed July 23, 2009

How difficult should it be to make a turkey croissant? Here are the steps...

1. Ask the waitress if the turkey is processed or fresh from an actual turkey
2. Accept assurance that "yes it is, we only use the very freshest ingredients here"
3. Wait 25 minutes.
4. On arrival, note processed turkey and advise waitress: "The chef says it is fresh". Yes, turkeys always had perfectly round, processed breasts...
5. Remove dark brown pieces of avocado.
6. Remove most of the brown edged lettuce.
7. Ignore the cold (reheated) french fries.
8. Pay anyway, like an idiot.

Full disclosure - the fellow I was having lunch with said his meal was OK, apart from not getting exactly what he ordered as they'd run out of baguettes but didn't bother telling us.

Summary: Go to Cortes - not far and a good selection of good restauarnts. Or go to MacDonalds.

“Close to Mesa Verde - Very relaxing after hiking around all day!”
Reviewed July 11, 2009

This is a great place to unwind after spending the day at Mesa Verde National Park. The atmosphere is cool, very different than what we expected from looking at the outside of the building. They also have a great outdoor patio area.

Full bar with a complete wine list is available. They have a great seafood buffet every Friday night and other seafood dishes all week. Very upscale menu, but also sandwiches and burgers if that's all you really want. The homemade fries were excellent! The staff are very pleasent and attentive.

Our favorite was dessert! They have a wonderful variety of homemade desserts and ice cream! Check out their website for more information at millwoodjunction dot com.
