“Sit on the patio, enjoy a brew”
Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

Great place to hang out on a weekend afternoon, taking in the vibe that is Lyons. Brew choices excellent, food more than adequate, a table in the sun perfect way to spend an afternoon. Haven't done the music, but judging by the playbills this place is awesome.

“Oscar Blues”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Pretty good restaurant. We were in a hurry so let our waiter know and our service was timely. The food was the right temp (my salad cool and my companions sandwiches hot). It was an okay value for the cost. About 11-16$ a plate for salads and sandwiches/burgers.

“The Most Popular Place in Town and Famous Home-Brewed Beers”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

If you drive through Lyons, this place is usually the busiest parking lot, but you wont have to wait long (if at all) for a table. Upstairs is sunny and family friendly, and downstairs is dark, with a bar and live blues bands and more. I admit I almost always order the burger (with blue cheese), but their New Orlean style dishes are excellent too, as well as BBQ foods. (They have a carry-out place next door with giant sandwiches, if you prefer.) They are famous for their home-brewed award-winning beer --and were the first one to put it in a (specialized) can. They have 2 other restaurants but this one has the best fresh food, without a lot of breading. And it is located in a small town with just enough blocks of stores and parks for you to walk off your meal.

“Ok Cajun”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We stopped in for an early Cajun dinner. We sat upstairs in the bar area which was fine. We ordered the jambalaya, the blackened red fish, and peach cobbler. The jambalaya wasn't cooked long enough. You could still really taste the tomato and the flavors weren't blended like with good jambalaya. The sausage (overcooked) and chicken were laid on top. The fish was ok and the red beans and rice were pretty good. The cobbler was average as well.
